Mcburnie is shit
20 million pound they paid for him, he is a handful in fairness, might get better, not many young lads play centre forward in the EPL
Two of them play in the same position and as was said McBurnie is shit
I’d stick Tierney centre back myself, maybe in a back 3, Robertson at wing back then.
I’d say McBurnie will be a serviceable centre forward for Scotland. They’ve had much worse in recent times.
Gilmour, when he is back, McTominay and McGinn looks a fairly powerful midfield given what they’ll be up against. We’d kill for 3 like that.
After Robertson and Tierney , John Fleck was the best Scottish player in the EPL last season
I asked what relative success Armstrong had. Wanyama did ok at southampton, failed at Spurs and is now playing in Canada and he’s not yet 30. Hardly a shinging example.
McTominay and Gilmour were developed at United and Chelsea. McBurnie never played in Scotland
McGinn is vastly overrated on here for some reason
Gilmour was a rangers youth product.
Hes at Chelsea since he’s 16. He never played for Rangers.
Omar Colley being linked again.
Celtic are apparently offering a €2m loan fee with the obligation to buy for a further €6.5m. If we could get rid of Ajer for £15m and get Colley and Duffy in on the back of that then that’s a good bit of business but it would be naive to think Lawwell would sanction anything like that.
Celtic edge closer to deal for Brighton defender Shane Duffy

Brighton are ready to let Celtic take Shane Duffy on the ‘never-never’ if it helps the Irishman get a move to the club he supported as a boy.
The Hoops want to bring the 28-year-old north to bolster a squad whose defensive frailties were exposed in the Champions League exit to Ferencvaros.
Seemingly surplus to requirements under Graham Potter’s management at the Amex, Duffy is likewise keen on the idea.
Yet while the English Premier League club won’t oppose his departure, they are determined to get market value.
West Ham and West Brom are both also interested, with the former, in particular, not put off by the £5-million asking price.
That’s viewed as steep by Celtic, especially at a time when they have just missed out on a potential £30m-plus windfall for reaching the Champions League group stages.
They would prefer to take the Republic of Ireland international on a year’s loan, with a chunk of his wages being picked up by Brighton.
The Seagulls, owned by sports better and former professional poker player, Tony Bloom, are fine with that – provided they receive a £2m loan fee for doing it!
It is understood, though, that in a bid to move the situation on, they have suggested a compromise, which would see Celtic sign the player permanently, but pay for him in four annual payments of £1.25m.
They worked a similar arrangement to allow boyhood Rangers fan, Jamie Murphy, to move to Ibrox.
With Duffy’s contract having another three years to run, Brighton stand to potentially save millions on his £40,000-a-week wages.
Brighton have Ben White returning from a successful loan at Leeds United.
The Elland Road club have tried repeatedly to make it a permanent £25m transfer, but been rebuffed each time.
The Hoops would potentially still have some work to do to get Duffy to agree to terms they could live with.
Duffy appears to be close to joining on loan.
€5m is a bargain for Duffy
The CEO that negotiated that deserves a fat bonus
Duffy due in Glasgow tomorrow to seal the loan deal
It seems daft that we are paying £2m for a loan deal if we could buy him outright for £5m?
It might be a loan with an option to buy.
The wages are the issue anyway. The £2m pays our portion of his wages and hopefully buys an option to purchase him then.
