The name ābaldockā doesnāt inspire confidence.
Bhoys if Ange is going to implement the football he usually trains and heās basically said that he will, then we need players that can play the ball out from the back and we need a midfield #6, pivot, playmaker, link man type to knit it together. I think McGregor is more of a complementary player than the main midfield man. I think Mooy would be a good signing for that midfield role. But I donāt think we have any full backs or centre backs (maybe Jullien but heāll miss the start of the season) thatās comfortable bringing the ball out/forward and playing incisive passes into the midfield and beyond. Ajerās good at dribbling forward more so than being comfortable in possession and heāll probably be sold anyway. In short, I think we need around 8 or 9 signings including an entire back four.
Apparently this potential new Croat guy is good on the ball.
Could Bitton have a role under him as an anchor in midfield. Heās lost his way in recent years but was a very impressive midfield performer in his early days.
Hard to know with Bitton. He was never fast but he seems to be very slow these days after a series of injuries. Not sure he would be able to cover the ground to screen the defence along with being a creative fulcrum too.
Iād settle for centrebacks that could defend. Allied to a pair of Vinnie Jones in front of them, and a clogger like Andy Carroll at centre forward to hoof the ball to.
Lowering the blade on the huns should be the primary aim for this season.
You really like that Derek McInnes blueprint, pal.
I most certainly do.
What the fuck would Noel Whelan know in fairness? OāNeill, Strachan and Rodgers initially too all operated off rolling 1-year contracts. Itās not a comment/reflection on the commitment of the board at all.
Thatās a joke of a website. A nonsense article.
Could we see Tommy Rogic playing as an 8 with McGregor again? Doubt heād have the engine for it. Soro is our obvious #6 but his passing is poor. Maybe Liam Shaw will be a revelation. We badly need defenders and a couple of sprightly attackers to sign.
Is Vuksovic definitely happening?
All the reports seem to indicate it is but after the Howe fiasco Iām takin everything with a pinch of salt.
He seems to be playing tonight in a friendly. That suggests any deal is far from complete.
Iām aware of that. The whole article is shite, but itās nice to agitate the fior Glaswegians on here.
Theyāre easily vexed it must be said.
Osaze Urhoghide has signed from Sheffield Wednesday.
Is he the chap that had to release a statement last season to explain why he was smiling after scoring an own goal or something?
Sounds about right
Who the hell is that?
I hope heās bought with a view to some depth at centre half rather than a right back option. I canāt imagine a 6ft2 guy who can play at centre half really being much use going forward and I think a club like Celtic who dominate games will need attacking dimension.
Lustig was a solid player for Celtic but itās a long time since Celtic had a good attacking right back. Jackie was decent enough in his early days but heās probably the last I can think of.
Agathe was a legend , more rwb
Donnelly McNamara was such a great partnership
