I donāt see us getting anything more for him with a year left on his contract. Is it a case of the club not letting him go until we have a replacement in the door?
I think if two clubs are interested we should be holding out for more.
Weāll sell him in late August for Ā£6m.

Celtic reportedly close to signing 19 year old Croatian centre back Mario Vuskovic for Ā£4.3m plus add ons according to reports in Croatia.
Those reports in Croatia say they expect the deal could be done next week but Iām taking it with a large pinch of salt. It would be an exciting signing as he seems highly rated but lets hope he does better than the last young Croat centre back we got for similar money.

ā¬15m could also go a long way to helping sort out the defence. Iād hope the Croat is a option for the future with another centre back also coming in as first choice beside Jullien and Welsh/Bitton battling it out for the 4th choice role.

We only have to cite the likes of Nathan Collins transfer fee last week, yes he had a longer contract left but Ajer does have European and international experience. He wonāt want to go to Zenit but they are a useful tool to drive up the price here, so win win.
Yeah, think they are making about Ā£3m on Hendry, unfortunate but then again this time last year we couldnāt give him away, so that was always the risk

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is considering a move for Manchester City ās Ko Itakura.
The Japan international has had a successful loan spell at Dutch side Groningen over the last 18 months.
The 24-year-old is high on a list of targets on which the the new Celtic boss is currently working.
Postecoglou is also well aware of Itakura from his own time at Japanese side Yokohama F Marinos, who are part of the City Football Group.
Postecoglou is already closing in on a deal for Hajduk Split defender Mario Vuskovic but is still looking to add to his backline options.
Itakura, who has five Japanese caps, can also play as a holding midfielder.
City signed him from J1 League side Kawasaki Frontale in 2019 before they sent him to Holland.
A possible return for Erik Sviatchenko from Midtjylland, who Celtic face in the Champions League, is also being looked at.
Celtic have also been linked with Ecuadorian international Piero Hincapie but reports in Italy claim he is close to a move to Lazio.
Postecoglou is looking at a string of options as he looks to strengthen his squad in various areas before the Champions League qualifiers.
Brighton keeper Tim Ryan, who was at Arsenal on-loan, remains a live option while as Record Sport revealed yesterday, Sheffield Unitedās George Baldock remains amongst the top targets to fill the problem right-back area.
Experienced Australian international midfielder Aaron Mooy, who is at Shanghai Port, is another who is being looked at, along with Bologna left-back Aaron Hickey.

Hickey played a lot for Bologna last season, I donāt see them letting him go on the cheap so donāt think itās that likely. I prefer Doig anyway, think he has more potential. Baldock is a bit meh for me, not worth the Ā£5m or so heād command. Probably a couple of old links resurfacing so donāt know how much there is in them.

Not really a pressing issue we need to concern ourselves with at present. Donāt really know how concrete the links are. The Itakura one probably most likely Iād say given the links with City and Ange in Japanese football.
Really worried by the lack of links to wingers which is our most pressing area after the defence.
