We could add an unlimited number today I think. After today we can add two (as long as others drop out). But McCarthy will probably be included today and then hard to think any new signing would be involved in the first leg anyway.

No. He just hasnā€™t been part of a pre season with a club. I expect heā€™ll play a little at the weekend.

I really liked the sound of him. A lad that would go well on a wet Monday night in Inverness, and put the fear of God into the huns back four.

Yeah, he looks very good. If Edouard is not going to renew, which seems almost certain, then itā€™s best for everyone he goes before the window shuts and we get a few of these guys in.

What a guy. Heā€™s reunified the support with the players in about a month after the shambles that went before him. Even previously hopeless and/or non-trying bastards have become competent and likeable.

But we still need signings to give him the quality and depth he deserves.

Ā£4.5m would be a bargain for that lad. This could be Toney all over again. Get him in now and worry about Griffiths, Ajeti, Edouard after. The same applies to Juranovic/Buta, Lovric and a centre back.

Iā€™d imagine the Scales deal is probably agreed, just pending Shams to complete their qualifiers.
