Celtic Transfer Windows 2022 & 2023

I’m still investigating it.

I would like to sincerely apologise for misleading the forum.

To acknowledge this, I won’t post again until Saturday.

Montgomery away to St Johnstone on loan

FRENCH and German clubs are ready to move for unsettled Celtic stopper Christopher Jullien.

SunSport understands Bundesliga side Schalke and Ligue 1 duo Rennes and Lorient are all tracking the defender.

Jullien, 29, looks to be on the way out of Parkhead as he enters the final year of his deal.

The injury-plagued stopper returned to training this week but could leave as interest mounts.

German outfit Schalke have just been promoted and boss Frank Kramer wants new faces.

A host of French Ligue 1 clubs are also believed to be monitoring the centre-half, who joined the champions for £7million from Toulouse three years ago.

Rennes and Lorient are among them with French sources claiming a bid of £1.5m could be made.

Jullien had an impressive title-winning debut season with Celtic, but the last two campaigns were wrecked by injury.

He suffered a serious knee problem in December 2020 and missed an entire year of football.

He returned in early 2022 but was limited to one sub appearance.

Jullien confirmed in a French interview that he would have to weigh up his future if his situation doesn’t change.

Cameron Carter-Vickers’ permanent signing means he faces a battle to get his place back at Celts.

The Hoops are on the brink of a deal for left-back Alexandro Bernabei and are in talks with Jota over a permanent move.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has admitted they must raise £40m before considering a bid for Josip Juranovic.

The La Liga outfit have been linked with a move for the Croatia star.

Cerezo said: “We have to meet financial commitments. In order to buy players, we need to sell.”

Jullien posted a picture this evening on social media of a sunset from inside a plane, as if he was on his way, but then deleted it. He’s a little bit needy but I’d wish him well if he’s off.

Reports that Bernabei hasn’t been formally announced yet because Celtic are waiting for Lanus to play twice. He was sent off for headbutting an opponent recently and the two game ban would transfer internationally. He flew to Scotland on Friday and has passed his medical, but Lanus played last Sunday and are in action again on Thursday. He’ll therefore be announced on Friday apparently…hopefully with Jota.

Hopefully Morelos

Bit disappointing how it’s all worked out for Jullien. He wasn’t perfect his first season (and didn’t always relish the physical battles) but he was particularly good in Europe and looked like he’d develop into a leader. He regressed like everyone else then and not sure how well he is physically since the injury and if he’s lost mobility as a result.

The social media stuff from him has been a little childish - he’s been hinting at a move away a few times. But think he’s best looking for a new club as Ange doesn’t seem to rate him anyway.

As Ange said, we’re all about making sure we sign the right people as much as the right players.

Announced as a signing from Benfica but I believe this chap has been out on loan for the last couple of seasons so we should temper expectations accordingly.

I wouldn’t have a scooby mate. Before my time
