Do we think Barkas will start chaps? Hopefully the 5 subs will allow us to spread game time but we probably want to get 90 minutes for as many of our starters as possible.
Assuming Rogic isn’t in contention so the team largely picks itself with Ntcham unlucky not to start and the only other question mark about the keeper.

Barkas will surely start.
Christie seems to have overtaken Ntcham again, which is surprising. Christie’s form fell away from around November onwards and Ntcham was very good from that point on.
Looks like the 3 at the back that allowed Edouard and Griffiths to play upfront together has been shelved.
Is Bolingi or however it is spelt still out in the cold? Neither him or Taylor look up to much
He played second string in pre season and was really poor. Linked with a couple of left back loan deals. We’ll need one I think.
I think the back 3 is only shelved because Griffiths isn’t fit and Bayo is injured so we only have 2 strikers, one of whom is very unproven.
I’d like to see Ntcham featuring more often but I don’t think we’re attacking enough if he’s our #10 and we have Brown and McGregor sitting.
Barkas will be number one. Just the fact he only trained for one day means this was a doubt for today but Lennon confirmed he’s first choice.

Shved seems to have been frozen out.
Forrest has been absolute pants for some time now, we badly need to get someone in his position to put a bit of pressure on him.
Shved is back in Ukraine I think. I’d say we can write him off. I’ll continue to disagree on the excellent James Forrest (and his top assists ranking in the league to go with his 10 goals last season).
This Barkas business is reminiscent of Lennon leaving Jullien out of the Cluj qualifier last summer because “he wasn’t up to speed”. If we drop points today with Barkas on the bench and hand the huns the title in game week 1 of our 10IAR season then he should be shot (and then sacked).
Jullien was here a lot longer, was he not? Barkas has had a few hours of training.
