Taking, and scoring, penos

Well what he’s not doing is defending anyway. Great striker of the ball but a poor defender.

Do you mind my asking would you ever frequent an establishment known as the tolbooth?

Have been a handful of times.

Unique angle:

They’re actually going all out with this. Beale & Tavernier decided that Celtic got away with a handball for the second goal contrary to all evidence & lots of stuff along the lines of Cantwell’s comments from their players. They go through the 5 stages of grief after every derby defeat, but in a really staunch way. Still mainly denial today & claiming it’s largely irrelevant & they’re focusing on the cup anyway. A bit of anger should come tomorrow but they’ll have convinced themselves they’re much the better side again by Wednesday or Thursday. Much like last Wednesday or Thursday.

Robbie Neilson gets the boot in other news.

The handball claims for the second goal are ridiculous and smack of desperation. They had a coordinated complaint about that goal in all the post match interviews. And yet the ball quite clearly doesn’t hit his arm. And it’s not like it’s one of those incidents where the angle is unclear or it’s obscured. It’s just factually not a hand ball. And of course it wouldn’t even be handball if it did brush his arm in front of his body.

But it’s all about their narrative of being unlucky and it wasn’t really a defeat and it didn’t really matter.

They have been in appalling form but thought he’d have more credit built up than that. Maybe they have someone lined up. If they don’t it seems a bit sudden and reckless.

I can’t believe any club that have notions about themselves have that Allan McGregor still in goal for them. He is 41 but plays like a fella 20 years older. He was bad falling across the goal for the first goal. He was hilarious for the 3rd goal. As slow as a week of wet Sundays in Tramore. What was even funnier was he put on the burners and was still at jogging pace.

He’s been a good keeper for them. Admirable he’s still a decent shot stopper. They have zero patience is one of their problems. They had a lad in who they shipped out and is now playing away for Sheffield utd I think.
GK needs to be a markeeey signing if trying to build a team. Joe Harte has been transformational for Celtic, but you can’t say we didn’t give the chocolate teapot before him plenty of time to settle.

Danny Taylor in The Athletic reporting that Nottingham Forest are close to concluding a deal for Ross Wilson after sacking their main recruitment guy. :anguished:

That’s a shame. Their fans detest him so not too surprising I guess. His record there is astonishingly bad.

One of my only TFK errors was praising him at some stage. Think they had 1-2 transfer windows a few years back when they signed a couple of lads for relatively small fees who made good impressions, e.g. Glen Kamara.

That, and Lennon mark 2. In fairness, when you make an error, you go big.

Yet another call for admins to apologise for their stance over Lennon…

I thought I was very careful to sit on the fence about that.

There was no fence to sit on.
