No Lassad, Matthews or Brown for the champions elect. Lennon will be giving players breaks on a rotation before the cup final but that won’t start today. Would like to win the league in style, Mulgrew at centre back is my one preference I’d like to see (but probably won’t).

Ten Men Won The League:
Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, Wilson, Mulgrew; Forrest, Wanyama, Ledley, Commons; Hooper, Stokes
Bench: Zaluska, Izaguirre, Kayal, McCourt, Rogic, Watt, Samaras
Ledley is captain.
Izaguirre set up two goals last week and Lustig missed a sitter from another one of his crosses. He was a bit suspect defensively, no more so than for Dundee United’s third goal, but surprised to see him dropped. It seems like Mulgrew must be accommodated in the team no matter what whether it’s wide midfield, central midfield, left back or centre back. Sammy’s agent is whingeing about him not starting on Twitter again - I believe the great man should be in the team too but it’s still a team that should win today.
I don’t have a problem with Mulgrew starting in defence, and in fairness he played well in midfield and in defence in some of our European wins. Commons has been our form player recently so I can see why he’s starting but Sammy would probably offer us more than Forrest. Needs to work on building a partnership with the other strikers though. Hooper and Stokes play well together, Sammy doesn’t really bring the best out in another player when he plays up front.
Darren O’Dea up bright and early in Canada to watch his beloved hoops.
Mon the hoops.
Forrest doesn’t have much interest in competing for loose balls in his area. Miscontrolled one earlier and just sat down while the full back took it away and Lustig nodded one down there that he wasn’t going to get to but he could have put the defender under pressure to win a corner or throw but he held his ground.
Commons has been central to most of our attacks so far. Picking up some decent space and he’s using it well.
That was a good chance for Wanyama but he ad to take it early and couldn’t wait for the ball to drop to an easier heading height. Lustig getting forward well again today. Ambrose has actually started well too.
Good run from Forrest there, prefer him on the right but his movement has been good on the left so far, he’s come in and switched with Stokes but gone down the outside a couple of times too.
Andy Walker: “that’s a decent effort, he should be working the goalkeeper.” Which is it Andy? Not only is he clueless and annoying but he’s an inarticulate halfwit too.
Superb drilled pass from Commons to Hooper but he was crowded out despite a good first touch. Great technique from Commons.
Great play by Wanyama and Hooper.
Now Wanyama digs out a cracking pass and Hooper dinks it over the keeper after a nice spin and run but it’s cleared off the line. Playing well at the moment.
Super cross from Forrest just flashes across goal.
Stokes flagged for offside after a lovely Hooper flick. Wanyama won it back well there. There was only inches in that. Looked offside from the replay but the camera angle isn’t perfect.
