Not a bad replacement for Hutton as a defender but not good enough going forward to play on the right wing where he was used alot. He’s competent I’d say.
It’s the lack of finishing prowess to go with the industry that makes all the difference though. They already have a Miller type guy in Novo but there were plenty of games last year that the huns dropped points in because the guy who got the chance just wasn’t good enough. That will continue to happen with Miller IMO. Industry might mean alot at a certain level but if the huns are in with a chance of winning the league again they’ll need much more than industry.
Rangers like last season in the Uefa Cup Campaign drew 0.0 at home and will overcome the odds to prevail away in the 2nd Leg. Dont personally care that much for their fans after they cost the Champions of Europe a parade in their own backyard. Scum Huns.
If Drogheda achieve the impossible then the Celtic bhoys here will have scouted Spartak Moscow from last year and we’ll offer our services to the club to impart our knowledge for a nominal fee.
It will be even easier next season when the changes come in and the lesser leagues are drawn against eachother. Most progressive thing UEFA have done in ages.
Huge game for the Huns kicking off at 6.05pm away to Kaunas. I’ll be interested to see if Cuellar plays or if he’s still ‘unfit’. I’m thinking it’s no coincidence he missed the first leg so he wouldn’t be cup-tied, and their signing of this Algerian defender from Charlton might indicate that they’ll get rid of him before the end of the transfer window. I’d gag for them to get dumped out but I reckon they might be ugly and dogged enough to scrap their way to a score draw.
Huns 1-0 up through that cunt Kevin Thomson so it looks like they’ll go through.
They’re playing their usual 4-1-4-1 formation:
McGregor,
Whittaker, Broadfoot, Weir, Papac,
Dailly,
Novo, Thomson, McCulloch, Adam,
Miller.
Not sure how much cop Aalborg will be in the next round but if they don’t beat them then Celtic would get the full pot of Scottish CL TV revenue instead of sharing it with them. I think it’s 10m+ if memory serves me correctly.
They won’t be trying to get the end of the league put back this season.
I loaded this up on live streaming literally two seconds before Kaunas scored the winner. What timing. Pity in one way they are out as I was looking forward to their supporters embarrasing themselves in Europe again this season. Steven Pressley looked very sombre on BBC Scotland’s analysis.
