Liverpool have to play at 12:30pm on Saturday away to a team with a better record (apparently) than Manchester City in the league this calendar year.

I get misty eyed even thinking back my halcyon days in College when we wouldn’t see these lads for 9 months of the year but from February to May we’d make it our business midweek to drink our customary 6 cans of Bulmers watching Kroos, Modric, Marcelo, King Karim and co before hitting for some nightclub and chase a bit of tail.

Its absolutely iconic to see these lads still at it on the really big nights all these years later.

As an FYI, my whole ‘Hall of Famers’ saying actually originated about that all conquering crop of Real Madrid players from 2013-2018.

I actually watched the 2018 final at a house party in Tipp. A great occasion despite the result. Tipp came from about 10 points down to draw with Cork the following day then in the newly created Munster Round Robin.

Dont think so. They’re just much harder to find. Madrid played Ramos til he literally couldnt move any more cos they knew. Alaba is not a centre half. He’s played must of his career as a full back or a midfielder. Lads can’t switch position like that.
Rudiger is a balls out savage defender. Just fucking hates losing a goal or even a challenge. He’d be top of my list for United but there’s not a hope he’d consider us.
