Champions League - Matchday 6

As far as I can see, next season’s country ratings are set in stone as UEFA work one season ahead. That means this season’s SPL winners would be guaranteed direct entry into the 2009/2010 CL. However, tonight’s game is therefore important for the 2010/11 campaign.

The SPL is currently ranked #10 in the UEFA league co-efficient table and that will apply for the 2009/10 campaign. But from then onwards the split of country places for European compeitions can be found on Wiki at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_coefficients

So, if the SPL falls to 13th or lower by the end of this season then the SPL winners won’t get a direct route into the CL for 2010/11.

Graeme Souness having a go at The Prince of Rome as Ruud Gullit looks on incredulously. Shut up Souness - you ignorant cunt.

sourness/penis record in management shows what he knows about judging a player

a lot of the british commentators cant appreciate Totti - a clash of cultures i suppose

True enough but even Gray and Keys were standing up for Totti.

Souness went on a rant about him being anonymous.

Then Keys, with a big grin on him, went:

‘We’ll move on from the anonymous Totti, who’s actually got 5 goals in last 7 games’.

And they all chortled.

Is a certain hoops bandwagoner staying at home from Celtic Park because ye are out??

Want to have a bet on the game, celtic are 13/10 villeareal 21/20. What you reckon

over 3.5 goals is 11/4
over 4.5 goals is 7/1

Thats not bad

Celtic team:

The Holy One,
Hinkel, Caldwell, McManus, Wilson,
Nakamura, Brown, Hartley, McGeady,
Maloney, Samaras.

A pretty attacking side with Maloney playing the split striker role. As I said elsewhere, we need to get back to getting at least two, and preferably all three, of our creative Naka, McGeady and Maloney triumvirate in the side. ‘Shoring things up phsically’ by bringing in Loovens and stiffening the midfield by pushing Caldwell in there hasn’t worked.

The bench is Brown, McDonald, Loovens, Mizuno, O’Dea, Caddis, McGowan.

what station is it on?

Post up a link if you get one please. Seeing as our game’s a dead rubber, I’ll concede the TV to cesc4 and Jugs tonight.

Darron Gibson’s playing for Manchester United tonight. I presume it’s a first Champions League start for the Derryman.

On paddypower now Ronaldo is 11/4 favourite to score first in the utd game, berbatov is 7/2

Ronaldo is picking up the ballon dor on the sideline and berbatov isnt even in the squad.

For shame.

Flano/Shan
Does anyone actually back these blind without checking or is the bet just void if they dont play? If so yer lazy fuckers not to take them off

Easy start for Utd
Looks like there could be a few more goals in this, should be 3-0 already
Going to have a look at the BIR to see what odds on 3 or 4-0

Took the link from the huddleboard - possibly an undercover hun posted it.

Maloney on the right and Naka in the free role, with Aiden out on the left.
