Del Piero, cool as fuck.
Del Bosque was a tremedous coach for Real. He turned them around in 2000 from struggling to get out of the group when he joined to making them worthy winners.
Was he in charge in 2002 as well when Zidane scored THAT goal?
Giovinco’s giving a smashing cameo since coming on here. Super stuff.
Money I guess is the main factor at the moment. It can go in cycles like that. The Italian league was the strongest for years but has suffered big time recently. Doesnt help with the level of corruption in the game there. Fans and sponsors have been turned off it. The Da Silva twins going to Manchester where normally South American whizz kids would go to Spain or Italy is another sign of the times.
The Spanish League is more entertaining certainly but they cant defend. Pique is one of Barca’s main defenders but Ferguson reckoned Evans was a better prospect and he was correct.
Some of the so called big European clubs are being run into the ground also. Fabio Capello won the league at Real a couple of years back and was sacked. Roberto Mancini won three leagues in a row at Inter and yet Mourniho was brought in. I think we can criminally over rate some players from different leagues like Totti and Puyol. Sergio Ramos is another. Pepe is utter dog shit at the back tonight also.
It wouldn’t be far off 10-0 if it wasn’t for Casillas tonight
Casillas - the world’s greatest goalkeeper.
End of discussion.
Drogba’s just put the nail in 10 man Juve’s coffin.
Fair embarrasing when the likes of Dossena are scoring
That is as impressive as I have ever seen Liverpool play under Benitez.
4-0 versus Real Madrid - and could have been 10.
Hopefully liverpool can play somethinbg similar at the weekend…
Did Villareal get through?

Bizarre when you see that and compare it to their average league performance.
Casillas.
Fucking hell.
That sporting defence should be drug tested.
Some performance first half from Pool as I switched over to the Chelsea Juventus match 2nd half. Hope to see Chelsea vs Liverpool in the quarters now.
Just saw the Bayern Munich goals, or should I say the Sporting concessions. Truly bizarre and shocking defending for most of them. Super consolation by Joao Moutinho though.
Quality goal by Ibagaza to send Villarreal on their way tonight too.
Hiddink is doing his stuff.
Roma are absolutely decimated with injuries ahead of the game tomorrow. Cicinho did his cruciate at the weekend and had a season ending operation yesterday. Juan hasn’t played since before the first leg due to a thigh strain and Panucci can’t step in as he was removed from the CL squad listing after the group stage following his well publicised row with Spalletti.
In addition, Perrotta is out with a hip injury, Pizarro’s unlikely to play after picking up a muscular injury at the weekend and De Rossi is suspended so that’s the preferred midfield 3 all out. Totti’s expected to start but he played whilst unfit in the first leg and hasn’t featured since so he’s likely to be restricted by his knee injury. He’s a genius though and he has to play.
All this means that an absolutely huge responsibility will fall on the magnificent Mirko Vucinic:

Forza Roma.
gret performance and result for pool. glad they didnt go out defensively, they went out and bombarded madrid from the start and got the upper hand early on. T’was never a penalty, but the way Heinze threw his arm up after he hit the ball sure made it look like he handled it. Pepe was shite, and was lucky not to be sent off. moaning the whole time too. Its such a pain in the hole tho seeing liverpool play like that, and then get well beaten by a crap side like Middlesboro. consistency would be a good thing, well able to beat any side around when in form, but capable of shite scoreless draws at home to useless teams.
great performance from liverpool but Real were well and truly raped for the first two goals which changed the complexion of the match completely.
still, very good from liverpool
Real said last week they wanted Pool to attack, so they could pick them off on the break.
Oh well.
