Champions League - Round of 16
Any chance Balotelli will be left at home for the wc mate?
I assume you’ll fall back in love with him if he bangs in a couple for the azzuri.
No chance, Prandelli loves him and constantly bends the rules for him. I’m very worried about our prospects if Prandelli is building the team around a person of such dubious character and questionable temperament. In more encouraging new it’s been reported that Cassano is going to be brought back into the fold.

ah @caoimhaoin stop the wumming FFS:D

Beckenbauer: “In the end, it’ll be like Barca: unwatchable. They will pass the ball back even on the goal-line.”

He’s bored with Bayern.

About the first decent thing he has said in years.
Italy has always had the strictest drug laws in world football, that’s a fact.

Milan’s decline has came with them having to reduce their running costs and sell off their star players in recent years - Shevchenko, Kaka, Zlatan and Thiago Silva.
It’s not a fact at all.

It’s a fact.

It’s not, there are serious questions over Milan’s “lab”. That’s a fact

The obvious doping questions are around Real and Barca. Plus it’s worth considering why the world reveres Guardiola who would be shunned in other sports for his doping conviction.

 Franz knows the score

What has that got to do with anything
I said? There are questions about Milan back to early 90’s and maybe more.

There are no questions about the Milan teams of the early 90s. There were no meteoric rises for those players, they bought the best in the world and had the most innovative coach of the past 40 years.

As stated on here before, I was a great admirer of the Milan side of the early 90’s, I’d be genuinely interested in reading about the accusations of doping against this team?

Because it’s strange that you’re singling out Milan and ignoring the proven doping elsewhere and the awesome scale of doping alleged at the Spanish soccer clubs which has been buried.

?

Ya cool, I really can’t be fucked with it
I was talking about Milan with Totti. Why do I have to refer to Barca or anyone. Its a very defensive reaction. I was basically thinking out loud, it just dawned on me of their decline coinciding with drug scandals.

I have no doubt doping was widespread in all the top leagues at one stage or another

Well I don’t think the decline of this Milan team is anything to do with doping and everything to do with the Tier B type players they’ve been acquiring for a few years now.

How do you know? Milan were taking blood of players as far back as the late 80’s. Players have been known to be hazy and a bit contradictory when asked about the “lab” in the past. Almost as soon as there was any questions Milan released a DVD. Or documentary revealing some of what they did, but they controlled it tightly. Some of what they revealed was very interesting and made sense scientifically, but some questions were left unanswered. It may be irrelevant but it may be significant that opposition players (bitterness could be a factor) found its tranche the way Mlan could finish like a train.
No doubt you are right about some of the players brought in, and obviously they had a few class acts back then as well that would have had success no matter what. I don’t think it’s black and white.

We seem to be misunderstanding eachother here.

Whether there was doping in the 80s and 90s doesn’t impact on this group of players. What Totti said and what I’m saying is that they don’t have very good players at the moment and their decline is related to the quality of these players - who wouldn’t win much if they were all doping in the most sophisticated way imaginable.
