Celtic have been shit.

So much wrong with the team:
- Centre backs are all over the place. Van Dijk was about 20 yards too far up the pitch for the goal. They had a cross early on where their centre forward was completely unmarked in the centre but Forster left his line (for once) to cut out the danger. Even at the end there they had a throw-in deep in our half and found a lad in the box in 5 yards of space.
- Izaguirre was rotten for the goal. Slow and weak and then tried to foul the guy in the box to end the tie. He started off in pole position to get onto the end of that hopeful ball and ended up wrong side on the outside and behind him. And far too easily shrugged off.
- Bitton has been fairly hopeless. Not imposing himself at all. Sloppy touches, passes going behind everyone and half of them left short.
- Mulgrew has made far too many mistakes. Same goes for Commons. Commons has been particularly disappointing. Needed to take the ball in and get his possession in dangerous areas. Instead everything has been a ridiculous flick.
- Stokes not as bad as Commons but still careless and ineffective. Not the sort of striker we need tonight. That sort of striker is a sub for Norwich.
- Johansen has been ok. We need him deeper though. He’s putting himself about a bit in a more advanced role but Bitton and Mulgrew are too slow on the ball and they’re finding it way too easy to press us as a result.
- Matthews has been very mixed but credit to him for cutting out a few long balls, covering well once or twice and at least running directly. Think he’s been unlucky with a couple of crosses that nobody read his intentions. One horribly indecisive pass that gifted them a chance but at least he got back.
- Forster hasn’t learned to kick the ball yet.
McGregor about the only one who gets pass marks. He has beaten his man and left him on the deck 3 or 4 times. Our most dangerous player by a mile.
Matthews should have whipped at least one of his crosses in way earlier and let strikers attack it.
I’m having hardware and broadband issues and I’m signing out.
Playing a high tempo, short passing, clever movement, hard pressing style will probably only work if we have intelligent, fast, skilful players who can pass the ball and retain possession.
That was diabolical.
Bring back Samaras.

Agreed that we are lacking players. But some of our more established players have been diabolical over these two legs. If Deila can play a high tempo game with the dross he had in Norway then these lads should be capable of it. Most of them are overpaid and far too comfortable though.

Don’t understand Lustig coming off before Izzy. He’s versatile so facilitates a 3 at the back. And Izaguirre has been rank.
Griffiths’ first touch nearly creates a goal but shot was straight at Forster.
2-0. Izaguirre jumped over the ball to allow that to develop.

I’ve said it for years - Lawwell will run this club into the ground and will make a fortune in doing it, he is one slimy piece of shit. We’ve been profitable for a few years now, nearly debt free but the downsizing continues. I’m becoming more and more apathetic to Celtic and what’s it becoming with it’s downsizing on the pitch, forcing it’s politics on us which are at odds with the roots of the club, selling out for a few quick bucks at any given opportunity, utterly deflating.
