Brown and Kayal not in it at all.
Kayal.
Commons and Forrest have switched wings.
Lustig. Lovely.
1-0 to Celtic. Lustig heads home a Commons corner. There’s the crucial away goal.
Nice whipped corner and good run from Lustig.
Jim McGuinness looking splendid.
Ambrose has no clue where any of his headers are going.
Sammy!
Brilliant by Samaras. He scores in Helsinki, Helsingborgs, Moscow, Barcelona, Lisbon and Belfast. 2-0.
Ambrose was decisive to win that first to be fair. Forrest gad them very worried. Smashing finish from Sammy.
Fairly fluid now with Samaras on the left and Commons playing behind Stokes.
Cracking curling effort by Commons off the post.
Wonderful effort from Commons.
HT: Cliftonville 0-2 Celtic
Stephen “Winker” Watson: “A masterclass from Celtic.”
Not really but Celtic have been okay. A little sloppy at times, especially defensively, but some good stuff in an attacking sense.
Straightforward enough. Hit the woodwork a couple of times but another couple in the second half would be decent.
Sammy and Forrest have been very good. Stokes has been a touch snatchy. Commons had an assist and hit the post twice but could be doing a little more, though we’re obviously feeding it out to Forrest as often as we can.
Kayal has been decent enough in the middle, Brown very quiet alongside him but they’ve been content to sit with the two wingers and full backs getting forward more.
Ambrose looks a bit unsure at the back. Wilson us far more composed but I don’t think we’re working well together as a 4. Lots of gaps back there and we’re stretched when they do run at us.
How absolutely ridiculous that Rudi didn’t include Samaras in his world’s top 10 players on another thread yesterday.
Future Ballon d’Or winner.
Great to hear from Jim McGuinness.
Good challenge from Ambrose there but we’re giving them lots of space in our half.
Super block from Wilson.
