It’s nuts how poorly Barca have signed. Pique, ineista, busquets and Messi are academy graduates and running the show for 7 or 8 seasons now. Could have done with Neymar tonight.
Manchester City were really good for the first hour tonight and De Bruyne was superb. I think they’re on the verge of doing something special in Europe if the purse strings are loosened for Pep this summer. He’s been quite restricted in only having GBP £586m to spend so far.

Ronaldo is a leader and inspires his teammates, whether on the field or on the sideline at the Euro final. Messi is a phenomenal player, but simply isn’t a leader, as has been demonstrated by multiple losses in key games with Argentina and now with Barca. Xavi was the leader of the great Barca teams Messi was a part of, and since his departure they have been in decline.
