Liverpool finished 8th when Dalglish was sacked. Rodgers took over and was sacked with Liverpool in 10th. In the end he was proven to be out of his depth. Useless in Europe, unable to attract the top players and unable to replace Suarez. Most of his signing were abysmal. Seemingly he agreed to the Firminho signing only if they allowed him to bring in Benteke.

FSG were financially stung with Comoli and the stats. Players like Downing and Adam were disasters, Suarez was a success but the Comoli project was a failure. I would imagine Markovich was a transfer committee signing. Rodgers tended to go for Premier League proven players, itās just a shame most of them were proven to finish in mid table mediocrity. The transfer committee tended to look towards Europe for unproven players with potential. Markovich was a dud but Coutinho, Firminho and now Salah have turned in to world class players at Liverpool.
Rodgers was/is only a bullshitter. Heāll never get a big club again.
