There was a draw. The draw for the provincial stages of the 1989 Championship was made in late 1988 (with Tipperary incidentally avoiding and not having to play Cork in 1989). The draw which determined semi final and ultimately final pairings for 1989 was made in early 1984 when Antrim re-entered the Championship at the semi final stage for the first time since 1954.
Liverpool winning the CL this year would probably be the biggest surprise winner since Liverpool in 05.

Liverpool had a relatively handy draw in their last Champions League appearance in 2014-2015 but failed to progress beyond the group stages, finishing 3rd. They then tamely exited the Europa League to Besiktas. Would you agree performance levels in Europe have improved and if so what would you put it down to?
Some would argue Liverpool had an equally good manager in 2014/2015. There must be other factors. Have Liverpool spent a fortune and kept their best players? Financially doped to prevent other teams getting certain players with no intention of actually playing them?
Brendan Rodgers has shown no aptitude for European football. Performances of this teams at both Liverpool and Glasgow Celtic have been dreadful.
