Wylie will want a runner in such a race which would make him odds on to go for CC regardless of what happens sat. He is a shocking jumper mac.

Yeah that’s what I remember of him alright. Want to look at if his jumping improved between runs for Johnson and Nicholls.
I think its very interesting that hobbs is going for the 2m with WT, i know he’s been shite this year, and has been mostly a middle distance to date. An an openish ryan air would have seemed a more appropriate choice, he defintiely has the speed to go with the principles early days but probably doesnt have the turn of foot from 2 out. i listened to the Hobbs interview on ATR and he wasnt putting the lack of form this year down to the wind, in fact he said that wasnt showing up, so he could very well improve
i know fp has said he 3/4L 2nd to finians was false, but i dont agree, he absolultey buckled 3 out on landing and came back to regain the lead, he’s not good enought to beat an on form SE or Big Zeb but i think he’ll run well and could well place. all above based on assumption he somehow recovers his spring '11 form
Cue card met with slight setback, straight the che…dont like that…he is very keen and the long lay off didnt help his cause in last years supreme
He has more chance of placing in CC than Ryanair. This looks the best renewal of the Ryanair, assuming they all turn up. Last year’s novice chasers collectively look a very substandard bunch, on all the evidence we have seen so far this year. The form of last year’s jewson looks decidingly weak but that should not detract from Noble Prince who I think is very good over this intermediate trip and will go off a bigger price than he deserves due to concerns raised above.
Would (his keeness) be more of a concern if they were going to ride him held up like they did last year. Fact that they are now consenting to giving him his head and front run, its less of an issue.
Point I was making KC was that they crawled in that race and so he was able to recover. In a truely run race over 2m i.e. proper grade 1 pace both Wishfull Thinking and Finian’s Rainbow would not have been able to recover.
@KC,
Interestingly Gevrey Chambertin is entered at Ascot as is Population. The latter looks like he is a definite runner.
great formline if both run
Id imagine GC is an intended runner in Champion as they would not be entering here. They stated after his win first time out that they were more than likely going to put him away for the year. This could be a good trial.
Simonsig wins well at Kelso in the manner of a 1-3 shot. Jumping was sketchy at times and he would not get away with that in supreme. i have a feeling he will end up in the neptune. cracking chaser next year.
yeah, think he’s too slow
Being reported that Last Installment is out of the RSA Chase with a leg injury. Big pity.
ah shite, thats a real shame. Hope its not serious.
Clears the pathway for Berties Dream now
Seriously though, presume we’ll see First Lieutenant in the RSA, Sir Des Champs in the Jewson and Bog Warrior in the Arkle if he goes to Chelt? Relieves Gigginstown of one problem.
It may work out well for the horse in the long term. The RSA has been a graveyard in recent years for top novices. Weapons Amnesty, Burton Port, Punchestowns, Cooldine, Jessies Dream etc.
Out for the season apparently. Sore after his last run.
Shouldn’t have run him on that ground, and you could clearly saw he was feeling it, numerous off line jumps
Simonsig available @ 14s on betfair for supreme despite being shortened across the board, he’ll go in the Neptune
Still couldn’t have him in the Neptune. Travels like a dream but no evidence yet that he finds anything off the bridle and surely this will be put to the test lining up afainst Fingal Bay (who has already beat him comprehensively when asked to duke it out) and Boston Bob.
agreed, i wont be moved off Fingal Bay…
