Cheltenham 2012

i hate kid cassidys jumping…undoubted class…if i was there i’d walk across the enclosure in my rubber shoes, pick up plenty of static and discharge while he was passing in the parade ring…that’d sort him

I did not think he was going that good in the imperial cup TTK to be honest. The record of horses running in that race and following up at festival is poor, understandably as they all would be ‘trying’ and have had a hard race as a result.

I dont think running in small fields help. He was not keen over hurdles, particularly at punchestown last year. I expect the big field will help him settle and his jumping will be more assured.

besides, i havent backed one henderson horse (long run aside) and if your not in for the wedding, no point being there for the funeral either

Just did a bit more digging. The three times he has been beaten over hurdles this season he has traded 2.0, 2.02 and 2.04. Would support your theory that he’s a bit of a weak finisher who will do better on ‘speed’ tracks. Still though I think he shouldn’t be as big as 18/1. I might try and get a trade in.

Had a great couple of days over in the Cotswolds. Lost my bollocks on Tuesday but have recovered well to be ahead going into tomorrow.

Can’t see how I can lose money tomorrow either :pint:

good man  …thats confience…i;d say you’ve had a few :pint:

  Up the Clique

what are the clique on?

Shadow Catcher and Toner D’Oudaries? I’m on the former at 20/1 for the Triumph and the latter at 12/1 for the MP hurdle, both on the advise of my Elliott source.

pm on its way

Well done DB,
I remember you were very keen on Rock On Ruby. Hope you had an ew saver.

Very true.

i heard sadlers risk did a fairly special piece or work last week

Fraid not FP

Tuesday was not a good day

I would be worried about stable form. Although Captain Chris ran wellish today he was well below what he is capable of IMHO. There was something about sadlers risk form on the level that I did not like aswell, cant remember what it was.

Think Pearl Swan has a right chance as there is plenty of pace in the race and nothing will be finishing better than him. His run against grumeti is great level of form and this was achieved on only his second run over hurdles. He was giving grumeti 3 pounds aswell and is open to way more improvement than the later.

I think Darroun could be best of the Irish. Loved his attitude when he beat Hisaabaat and should appreciate better ground.

What you think of Ruby on the Fly? I think AP and himself thought it was a two horse race and just left themselves with way too much to do on that ground. If the race was on latter in the week they would have been much closer to pace given results?

yeah, its pearl swan or sadlers risk for me. i am taking on the clique
Cockney lad ran well and so did Balthazar king

I remember shannonsider posting Just Amazing last year for the foxhunters, Nicholls had to rush his qualification last year, back now, won his novice around the course etc…

Thought he had him too far back FP. Haven’t watched a replay yet, so I could be wrong.

I’d be surprised if nothing came to light. As game as Overturn is, he shouldn’t be finishing in front of HF

The winner is a very likeable sort

Agree and as a result AP did likewise on binocular.
