Cheltenham 2015

I wont be paying @ 7/4 to find out…rem pont alexander

PP have launched their special with refunding bets if UDS or Douvan win. Only caveat is that this year for the first time all refunds are via a free bet. Will be carnage in the shops if / when either win.

Pont Alexander was injured in that Neptune so I would not use him as a stick to beat Douvan.

Douvan’s action is quite round and he has never run on ground better than soft. That would be a obvious concern. However, MDH had a similar action and it did not stop him. He is very slick over his hurdles and looks very special. I think he’ll win relatively easy.

I would look to oppose Annie Power. She is a huge horse and unlike Quevega, has not shown an ability to run at this level off a huge layoff.

Interesting approach. She’s been talked up everywhere as a banker at 10/11 ante post. Who would you see as her main opposition?

Quinn’s Mare, Polly Peachum, L’unique. All three will relish better ground and are good ew alternatives.

Kevin Blake is tipping her as his banker.

Yeah I saw that last night.

Started following Rhys Williams on Twitter last week. Very interesting insight into some of the French horses and expect him to pull out 1 or 2 for the mares hurdle.

yeah, you cant ignore the read from the stable on him, I think putting him in doubles is the way to go…
However, I will be opposing Nicholls Canyon with Parlour Games in the Sun Alliance…

Not keen on Black Hercules either in the AB, there’s a few circling there including no more heros and Martello tower and the Henderson horse

that’s a very good point re size, those bigger horses just take longer to get fit. however, I think Mullins will have her ready, she’ll get a hard gallop in next week or so and he’ll know if she’s right…but at the price there’s got to be better ew/place value…the race distance will play to her current state IMO…3m might be a stretch

I’ve backed CF NRNB but I really liked the way SDG jumped the last 2 at the weekend, serious performance…his fans should certainly stay loyal

Douvan & The Don in a good double

I think the Don will get plenty of it from Ma Fillieau (getting 7lbs)…
Hard to see Don Poli not winning

Think Douvan will win also, mainly because I think it’s a below average Supreme.

Annie won’t have to be 100% to win either. Glens Melody will chase her home

I’ve just realised Don Cossack has only won once over jumps going left handed. All his good wins have been going the other way. I’m starting to have my doubts

More of That officially ruled out of World Hurdle.

yeah, and I think he might be a tad slow for the RA, how good is this irish form (boston bob etc), he went for the RSA last year and i always thought he was a GC horse, also, he’s never won on good or better (2 attempts), he could win it but plenty of question marks too

Eduard.

You’re very keen on him, give us the rationale again?

Doubled the Don with mini Don last night myself and also backed Cooper for top jockey
