Remember when Sam Thomas replaced Ruby and got Big Bucks bate in a handicap and Kauto Star bait by Snoopy Loopy at Haydock.

Remember Spencer in Coolmore. De Sousa at Godolphin, Paul Hanagan out of gis depth at Shadwell more recently, loads of cases.

You think McCoy was better than Walsh?

He’s a great rider, but I’d say the jeat is never too far around the corner now in that job. Youre probably right but I wouldnt be bowled over.

Not even debatable as an out and out horseman, McCoy would have won every single race Walsh had with the pick of Nicholls and Mullins, as I say 99% of jockeys would.

Ah stop :rofl::rofl::rofl:

AP McCoy was the peoples jockey, Walsh the corporate lackey.

McCoy isn’t fit to hold Ruby’s spare goggles

I couldn’t care less who was the people’s jockey.

He was vastly overrated.

McCoy isn’t even top 3. He’d be minimum a stone of ruby.

In fairness to McCoy, nobody else wouldve won on Synchronised in the Gold Cup, but at the real elite level, he possibly struggled over an obstacle.

Ruby outclassed him a few times, Champagne Fever v MTOY…Geraghty bait Binocular with Punjabi.

Point about jocks again, McCoy famously replaced Barry Cash on Brave Inca to great effect.

Some shit coverage with yer man Oli Bell(?) Standing in front of a bunch of lads being unbelievably laddish doing banter while they jeer on. Reminds me of the crowds around a fight after school back in the day.
Only bettered by a chat with a bookie earlier. Presenter at pains to shout ‘responsible gambling’ while a delighted bookie says hes taking more cash than ever cos lads dont like answering questions and he doesnt ask them!

This next race is an abomination

I’d go Ruby, Davy, Geraghty, McCoy, Carberry in that order I think. Honourable mention Richard Johnson who didnt really have the horses but did wonders on Captain Chris.

Blackmore hasnt the body of work but is a great big race jockey.

There’s fishing and there’s fishing :joy:

Circus race

If I see Ruby in Dunmore this weekend I’ll ask him about the importance of a jockey on a good horse.

He’ll be looking for a Canada Goose, Moncler or Stone Island jacket after winning his bet.

McCoy got rode to sleep on Sundays in Ireland for years by Barry and ruby.

When ruby went to England first everyone cleaned up betting him because he was such a superior judge of pace.

Mark holder done a great piece on it during lock down.

Ask him would every single other jockey in the weigh room have won on the mounts he had, I bet he will blush.
