Cheltenham-Early thoughts

Is there a stewards enquiry or anything? powers have settled the powerstation bet but not the punchestowns one?

serious minefield this one.

Was that Clarified who fell?

Couldnt decide which Venetia Williams horse to back, so ended up backing both of them!

Nina is the last leg of one of those small trebles I did earlier. Would get me back about 70 if she wins so it would go some way to recovering todays loses.

if i see one on a bike when im driving home later he could be in trouble.

unless its ellen;)

iv gone for the kill on Bowleaze here, no reason but you may as well be hung for a sheep

Im going back to bed

And that is that.

A poor poor day.

Sweet jesus. Was in a long meeting there for about two hours and just saw the results. Fucking hell. Tough break on voy por puke. Did someone shoot Kasbah or what happened him?

Backed a clatter of horses using the stats and Butlers Cabin saved me a few quid by coming 5th. Think I just about broke even for the day and thats with a 33/1 winner! Doing up tomorrows stats now as wont have internet access later.

Good man Mac, I hope you get the recognition you deserve at the end of the festival!

I’ve been doing it for an hour now and still 2 races left to go. Wasn’t gonna bother with them till Something Wells romped in! Think thats 4 winners and a few places so far. When its all done and dusted I must see what 1pt each way on each of them would have resulted in overall.

For one last time - stats leading to tomorrow. Bit all over the shop as these have been rushed.

1.30 - Trenchant
2.05 - Aachen, Sesenta, Daves Dream
2.40 - Pride of Duclote (or any of the top 4 in the betting)
3.05 - Madison du Berlais, Denman
4.00 - Baby Run, Chief Oscar, Ofarel D’airy, You do the Math
4.40 - new race, no stats
5.15 - Chapoturgen (dont know what will happen as this fella ran today but is still favourite for tomorrow).

Doing this just reminded me how scheidt Gold Cup day is now on a Friday. Take the Gold Cup out of it and its a middling card you’d see midweek in any regional Irish track. The Albert Bartlett is like an afterthought of the Supreme Novices and Ballymore. The triumph is still a good race but I’d have it in the middle of the card.

well aachen actually run tomorrow you reckon mac seen it was to run in a race earlier in the week and didnt

Would say so CLG - think Harry Findlay said they were leaving him in as Cousin Vinny looked like he might not run. Decided to pull him out then. The way Venetia Williams horses are going this week he has a serious chance. I’ll let Puke pass his own comments on the jockey!
