Chippy Brady - vindicated

I’m delighted for him, it took courage to speak out against the waves of ignorance in the Irish sporting media and he can feel very proud of his accurate and well placed bravery.

Eamonn: Seamus Coleman and McCarthy have both be treated badly bad trap, they’ve both been playing regularly for their clubs and…
Chippy: Whilst we were qualifying for the euros…
Eamonn: Never mind that!
Chippy: Whilst we were qualifying for the euros…
Eamonn: He has treated them shamefully, these guys are the future…
Chippy: Whilst we were qualifying for the euros…
Eamonn: John?

6 Points from 3 games is vindication enough for Trap to stay imo.

Ze Germans didn’t help our cause last night though the fuckers :shakefist:

In the re-game analysis Brady was actually advocating the virtues of playing the long ball.

An absolute clown of a man.

We qualified for the Euros

Correct, the first time since 1988 too i believe. Shur a long punt up the field ‘‘is’’ a waste of time :strokechin:

Unattractive winning football is a cunt alright.

I’m not arguing that CM, I’m making the point the Brady has, on RTE, spoken about the virtues of what Arsene Wenger is trying to do with Arsenal as regards the way that game is played and then he completely contradicts himself in the preview for the sake of his former colleague and friend.

We qualified for the euros

Never mind that CM

If Robbie Keane and Stephen Reid both insist that Trap is still the man for the job then that is good enough for me

TRAP OUT

He’s lost two qualifying games in FOUR years Eamon

And one of them was against Germany who have stuffed Sweden tonight…

It’s embarrassing how much of a quisling Brady has become

He contradicts himself as much as Dunphy too. As well as defending Trap to the hilt he also said that Trap has brought it all on himself and that most of the problems in the camp go back to the Italy game.

The sheer nonsense that the players should be going up to our 1.4m a year manager to tell him how they want to play exposes Brady as a bit of a simpleton.

In fairness, he’s being misrepresented on this thread (which is very unlike TFK).

He said he would prefer a more progressive style but that Trap has made an assessment that a direct game suits the talent available better.

Then he showed 3 or 4 clips of us scoring from long balls to try to back up that point.

From when, 1988?

Brady 1

Arsenal choose some of the best young players in the world and play a style appropriate to that - Ireland have a team made up of lads that play for wigan villa and toronto - they play a style appropriate to that- this isnt very hard to understand

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail :pint: :ireland:

I think people are forgetting here that we qualified for the Euros.
