Can’t believe they insist on putting that druggy cunting cheat de Bruin in there. To hell with her.

Tough choices there though, siding with Best or Dwyer at the moment, but undecided still.

Joey Dunlop for Larry anyway if his avatar is represnetative of his opinions.

That De Bruin cunt should be nowhere near the list.

I’d consider Roche in the absence of McGeady but he had possibly the greatest achievements (in one year) as opposed to sustained greatness.

McGeady is Scottish, he can’t be considered as an Irish person. George Best as well shouldn’t be on the list as too Dunlop and Alex Higgins.

The list is a shambles

Roche is a bad omission considering deBruin only had a decent 2 week drug fuelled period.

Roche’s achievements were phenomenal in one year… hmmmmmmm.

Outside of that Delaney is our only Olympic track and field gold winner - that must count for summit.

Dricco and McGrath would also have to be in the running as well.

golf, gga & horsey racing arent sports

they are hobbies

All sports are hobbies unless you go professional you jew cunt.

Hard call between John Treacy and Sean Kelly. Waterfords finest and the nations finest. The little man from Villierstown may just edge it though.

If rugby football was a proper sport then Brian O’Driscoll would walk this. As it is, O’Driscoll’s such an incredible talent that his greatness transcends the shit sport he’s mastered. Yes, O’Driscoll for me.

dont be such a tard- golf is similar to playing the xbox-a leisure hobby - not a sport
gga is similar to lamping - not a sport
horse racing is animals running around a field - not a sport

No John leahy either.

I’m going to break my final list into 2, the people i have seen who i think merit consideration and the ones i haven’t who’s records speak for themselves. Alot of nostalgic type figures in there that i may question, but anyway. I’m picking mine on sustained success, not one off year or one off victories. For instance, hasn’t Bernard Dunne already achieved the exact same as Barry McGuigan? I also know very little if anything about the Ponies, but McCoy’s record is something else. And if its sportsmen, then its not managers or trainers, because all things considered Sean Boylan was as good as Micko or Kevo considering the players at their disposal.

Who I’ve seen:
Henry Shefflin (hurling)
John Treacy (athletics)
Eamonn Coghlan (athletics)
Padraig Harrington (golf)
Roy Keane (soccer)
Sean Kelly (cycling)
Tony McCoy (horse racing)
Paul McGrath (soccer)
Barry McGuigan (boxing)
Sonia O’Sullivan (athletics)
Brian O’Driscoll (rugby)
Alex Higgins (snooker)
Jack O’Shea (gaelic football)

Guys i’d be taking their achievements as a barometer;
George Best (soccer) - Who we all have seen plenty of footage of.
Ronnie Delany (athletics)
Mike Gibson (rugby)
Jack Kyle (rugby)
Mick O’Connell (gaelic football)
Christy Ring (hurling)

Top 5 for me would be.

George Best
Roy Keane
Paul McGrath
Sean Kelly
Padraigh Harrington

And soccerball is a hobby for guys not tough enough to play agri sports.

Micko was quite the talented footballer to boot…a far more accomplished footballer than Heffernan and a greater manager than both as shown by his achievements in other counties.

Donnacha O’Dea should win by a country mile .

Jacko Barry?

DJ Carey for me.
Then Shefflin
O’Driscoll
McGrath
Keane

Ciaran Carey.

What in the name of all that’s holy is Eddie Macken doing on that list?

O’Dea has a WSOP bracelet.
Jacko has never won a thing, although he did have that game against Barney a while back.

If we want to talk darts players Tom Kirby should be top of the list.
