A couple of dodgy ones but it comes down to personal opinion and how you rate certain ‘sports’, I suppose.*

  • Just to flesh that out, horse racing is not a sport and some auld lad who stands in a field and watches them gallop around is not a sportsperson. Truly ridiculous.

Also, some lad who went around the Isle of Man on a motorbike every summer is not a sportsperson.

And it’s been well established that golf is a hobby for bored, middle-aged people who don’t possess the talent to play in proper contact sports - not a sport.

Edit: And running? What the fuck.

Second Edit: That’s a shit list actually on second viewing.

Larry will be delighted with Joey Dunlop’s showing (that’s Mr Dunlop in his avatar I believe) but what a crazy high placement for him.

And whatever about jockeys I can’t agree with racehorse trainers being in there, no matter how successful they are.

Not sure I’d have Kelly ahead of Roche either. Probably more talented and more determined but Roche got the glory and that’s what top level sport is all about.

I started at 10 and stopped looking at 7 when i copped that Sonia O Sullivan had been deemed superior to the great Christy Ring,what a fucking joke,Sonia was a serial runner up at best huge flop the rest of the time,fucking wreked out of her skull moanbag into the bargain,Ring was the master in the fastest field game in the World,the holder of 8 AI medals over a 20 Year career at the top level in the sledging era of this ultra tough sport,Sonia O Sullivan???,fucking forget it.
