Tulla beat the Bridge second team comfortably enough yesterday. They lost to Ogonnalloe first day out but have timed their run very well. Leydon at centre back and Wythicombe from the Tulla harty winning side to the fore. They will play the winner of barefield and Corofin today.

Who is the lad that clipped 6 from play for Ballyhea? Hadn’t heard of him previously.

Mossy Gavin, think he is 20/21ish. Was their main scoring threat aside from Kelly last year but was quiet in county final. A tidy player. Ballyea look to have timed their run very well

The return of Brennan a big boost obviously as well.

Is Gavin a Ballyhea lad or a blow in from football country?

@Raylan @Big_Dan_Campbell

What do you make of Éire Óg’s chances today? Seem to be in great form, will the Bridge have too much nous for them?

I’d say it’s priced up about right. Bridge are more than the sum of their parts, while Eire Og have a bit more of an x-factor with O’Donnell in his current form. Horrible day now so I’d probably lean towards the Bridge grinding it out.

Who was the lad sent off for Ballyea?

Gudgie O’Connell. Would have been on the fringe of the Clare panel after Ballyea’s AI run, went to Oz for a couple of years then.

They beat the bridge last year but the bridge seem to have a freshness about them this year and putting up huge scores. EO well worth a bet given the bridge haven’t really been tested and Cathal Malone is injured

Mikey Moloney in the corner and Ciaran Russell at 3 start for the townies. No Malone for the Bridge

Eire Og 0-8
Sixmilebridge 0-5
25 gone
Seadna Morey gone back on SOD now, who was doing as he wanted, EO were doing a good job of finding him past the cover of deep-lying Caimin Morey. Loads of positional adjustments on both sides, EO have Oran Cahill as an extra man at the back, even with a significant breeze, but it has suited them so far. Bridge not panicking and have worked back into it from five down

Halftime
Sixmilebridge 1-6
Eire Og 0-8
Jamie Shanahan with the goal after a long free broke in the square. Paidi Fitz who had started in midfield, has now dropped back as a second 6; has got on loads of ball and contributed a fine point at the end of the half. Bridge well set now, but they have three backs on yellow and second chances will come in these conditions if the they’re lax on the ball in their own half.

Eire Og 1-9
Sixmilebridge 1-6

David Reidy has pushed inside beside SOD and hit 1-1 inside two minutes

Sure enough, Caimin Morey gone after he brainlessly pulls down Reidy out in the corner

Eire Og 1-12
Sixmilebridge 1-9
Fifteen left. Barry Fitz on a yellow trying to mind Reidy at FF now

Eire Og 1-14
Sixmilebridge 2-12
Reidy takes over free taking duties to convert a very soft one given to SOD for running into Jamie Shan. Bridge get one back then Shanahan’s low free from 45 out squirms to the net
