The crowing about a Townie double might be harder to listen to
“And as for your grandma, she shouldn’t have mouthed off like that”
That’ll learn him
Fuck around
If it was football it’d brought forward 50 yards. Cynical stuff trying to slow the free
I’d charge the fucker for the hurl too
A county doing a lot of things right
She was sound in my dealings with her. Very helpful.
Difficult game to call between Eire Óg and Clooney.
Weather wise we will have a few harmless showers after this evening with lots of wind through to tomorrow evening. The pitch will likely be in good order.
I’m humming and hawing but can’t really decide. I think this will be quite high scoring with forwards dragging central defenders all over the place and hard running from midfield from Clooney especially.
PIHC semi
Clarecastle 3-17 (26)
Whitegate 1-08 (11)
Magpies looked in a bit of bother turning with only a point lead after playing with the breeze but they kicked on well after a Whitegate red card early in the second half
Mills saw off Ryan comfortably enough. Best two sides on paper. Clarecastle coming in off the back of two good wins. All the pressure on the Mills.
One change apiece - Jarlath Collins starts for Robert Loftus for the Townies: Darragh McNamara in for Ulick O’Sullivan on the CQ side
Eire Og 0-9
Clooney-Quin 0-7
Twentythree gone. Eire Og into the breeze but hurling much better, working the ball smartly and their touch and stickwork is miles ahead so far. Reidy getting on an amount of ball. Duggan with all bar one of the CQ scores so far, Ryan Taylor not in it at all
HT
Eire Og 0-9
Clooney-Quin 0-8
Quality dropped off towards the end, both sides missing scoreable frees. CQ will be happy to have stabilized things a bit but Eire Og have created a few goal opportunities and have looked more likely to get a goal. CQ lack that bit of speed inside to trouble the Eire Og backs
Éire Og 0-14
Clooney-Quin 0-11
Seven left. CQ hanging on despite playing brainless stuff. Eire Og happy out defending route one ball lamped into the wind
Eire Og 0-16
Clooney-Quin 0-12
Seven of additional to be played
FT
Eire Og 0-17
Clooney-Quin 0-12
Disappointing game all told, Eire Og deserved winners and probably should have put the game away much earlier. Clooney-Quin played into their hands second half, ballooning ball into the wind that never really had the EO backs in trouble. CQ needed bigger performances from the likes of Taylor and O’Neill that never really got into it.
I’m assuming the metronomic David Reidy got the MotM gong, four second half points and was involved in most of the good things EO did.
Loftus got it I think but Reidy was the man
