Clare GAA Thread 🐐

Wahey!

@chewy louie has just tweeted over on CH that Davy is gone !!

Thats that places credibility shot to shit now. Embarassing scenes.

he normally has the inside track in fairness…

Davy has once again got TAN & Puke to remove stuff from the internet

Man management is the main criteria for inter-county management these days. All the top counties competing at the business end of the championship do the same amount of training, type of training, gym sessions, recovery sessions etc. Possibly the only exception to this is Cody who at various times could afford to drop players like Charlie Carter and Brian McEvoy as he had a conveyor belt of players to more than adequately replace them. He could afford to be a tyrant as they had so many options. Practically every other county needs absolutely everyone to have a chance, Clare included.

Clare won the AI in 2013 and that can never be taken away from Davy. However it was as much down to the manic hunger of a supremely talented group of players as it was down to him, Mulqueen or any of the other yes men he had on the management team. As soon as things go slightly pear shaped he is off blaming dual players like Podge Collins who, by all accounts, is one of the most committed players you could meet. He’d play 7 days a week if allowed.

Davy won’t change at this stage. The man doesn’t do humility. When they won/win it’s all about him. They win the AI - deservedly so - and he 's roaring on the stage about someone having a go at him during a facile win over Laois. When they lose it’s all down to referees, the clubs, dual players etc.

I can see this getting very messy for Clare. He wants the job for the next 10 years but if Davy was ousted and the u21 duo appointed in the morning I’d fancy them to win the AI in 2015 or in subsequent years.

its been withdrawn! amazing scenes here on the internet

“I gave it my all, so I did.”

There will be a mutiny next year if he keeps on the same shit as this year. They will just leave. It nearly happened this summer.

On the dual thing, it absolutely can’t work.
You need to do too much ball work in hurling to keep sharp. Any successful dual club trains for hurling and kicks a ball around a couple of days before a game. Athleticism will carry you in football but not in hurling.

The worst thing is though as WTB said, Davy is appointing his guys to underage panels. U21 is the last one that remains from pre 2012. He has himself set up now to manage indefinitely.

What’s the story here?

I got a text from a Tubber person about 15 minutes ago about this… is this true??

I can say without doubt that it is.

I’ll take your word for it

we’re all refreshing like fcuk, next tweet is probably, definitely the most defining internet moment in the history of Clare GAA

The most fatal tweet in the history of the GAA

I’ll believe nothing until @myboyblue’s sources confirm it
