Ye and we would take a soft one stop that bull
He officially has two more years on his term. Time will tell
It was always going to be the players that had to get rid of him. Question is if they have the stones/ambition to do so now.
Clearly not after the weakness shown already this year.
I hope that Davy stays.
For all the messing and slagging around him, he is very passionate and loves his hurling and his county.
He has 2 all Irelandās as a player and 1 as a manager.
Great point
Itās not encouraging
Query for the Clare lads.
Has their stick work improved from the opening championship game against Limerick?
(they seem to be coached reasonably well, not quite the total hurling of '13; but are too flogged to maintain it)
They seemed closer to their 2013 displays tonight than at any stage since, but ran out of steam long before the end. Bugler being off form and Paudge being off hurling panel seemed to be the biggest differences on the pitch.
Their touch and tackling was far better this evening. We were miles better than the game in May. I think the changes and switches made in the second half stifled us and Cork got huge momentum in the last 10 minutes. The lack of any real physical powerful players to bring in didnāt help. A half forward line of David Reidy, Conor McGrath and Aaron Cunningham simply is far too light and out forward play and shape was all over the place second half
Taking off Morey and putting Donnellan back sweeper was a terrible call also
cant walk away because he walks away from a sponsored 4x4 and 70-80k expenses is the word while he has no job.
liam dunne the same is he? in fairness good enough reason not to walk away from a job
Weldone cork

Just in the door from the Gaelic grounds, A lot of positives and negatives to be taken from todays match, gifted limerick 3 goals in the 10 minutes before half timeā¦2 of them very soft and Phillip Brennan will have to take the blameā¦Bugler struggled at midfield, while we didnāt get enough quality ball into the inside forwards and Gerry Quinn wasnāt direct enough at centre back, took far too much out of the ball. but credit to them they came from 9 points down at half time and probably deserved a draw at least, Tony Griffin had a good first half, Tony Carmody a good second half, Pat Donnellan had a solid game, scored a peach of a pointā¦
Colin Ryan looked good again, missed a couple of frees against the breeze but had a good second half, Barry Nugent despite being a stone overweight had a good game alsoā¦
Colin Lynch yet again was to the fore in the midfield again today, 35 and still going srongā¦
For Limerick, Andrew Shaugnessey looked sharp, Breen at 14 had a good batle with plunkett, while their midfield were excellentā¦Once they moved Seamus Hickey centre back 10 minutes before half time they took contol of the game, Hickey scored a great point before half time, soloing 50 metres
Taking off Morey was a crazy decision, he was one of Clareās better players I thought - especially in the first half.
He brought on Donnellan and he was all at sea at midfield. Rather than admit they made a fuck up and take him off they panicked and brought off Morey and moved Donnellan back.
Donnellan didnāt do one thing of note in the 25 + minutes on the field
He was my man of the match
Who got man of the match??
Some of the players looked disgusted at the end of it. Shane OāDonnell in particular I thoughtā¦
Theyāll surely be a revolt?
