Fucking hell, there are going to be some crowds at Clareâs games next year
There was a similar turnover of clubs on the Dublin football team between 1995 and 2011/13.
Kilmacud (despite being the reigning All-Ireland club champions) , St. Vincentâs, Ballymun and St. Brigidâs had no starter on the 1995 team. Only three of the 1995 team played for clubs which were also represented on the 2011 team.

Pat Gilroy St Vincents 1995? maybe he was a sub
Line the stomach and very high in protein. The stomach will have taken an awful hammering Imagine. The acid in the stomach would have been over worked.
Water and cranberry juice would help as well
Sub.
Only Paul Bealin (Ballyboden, formerly St. Kevinâs), Brian Stynes (Ballyboden) and Mick Galvin (St. Oliver Plunkettâs) played with clubs that were still represented in 2011.
Jonny Cooper (Na Fianna) increased the amount of commonality of clubs in 2013.

were Bealinâs St Kevins in Tallaght Sidney? Think they no longer exist
Whatâs the most representation any club has had an an All-Ireland winning football squad? The hurling version was discussed on clarehurlers with Birr (8) for Offaly in 1998 being the most anyone could name.
I think they still exist. Theyâre from Kilnamanagh which is part of Tallaght.
think they amalgamated with killians of kingswood and now play in div.8 or somewehre near thereâŚthey had a super team back then and lost 2 intermediate championship finals i think so never went seniorâŚthat team broke up with lads going to thomas davis and bealin to bodenâŚa number of them went on to play for dublin or at least were on dublin panel - Bealin, Darren homan, the Rowes, wayne dalyâŚ
St. Vincentâs for Dublin in 1958 Iâd imagine. 10 starters.
didn´t dublin win a national league final one year with 14 vincents men starting?..
- The goalkeeper Tony OâGrady (Air Corps GAA Club) was the only non-Vincentâs player but was a former member.

Correct scumpot. Just googled it there. I can recall an old gael in Dublin lamenting their demise a few years back and how St Kevins as good as went out of existence from such promise. Bealin apparently didnât play Gaelic Football till he was 16 - all soccer. Didnât realise all those players started out with Kevins.
St Marks in Tallaght are in demise at the moment. Adult hurling and football team are muck
Thomas Davis have decent adult teams but massive debt. Crio Ro Naofo tiny operation like Kevins. Tough times for Tallaght gaa.!Davis and Marks used both have strong adult teams in both codes. Anyway this is truly fucked up - a kerryman talking about Dublin gaa in a cork v clare hurling thread!!

yeah kevins had a serious teamâŚsome right characters floating roundâŚi heard there was many an eventful night in the Cuckoo´s Nest after gamesâŚespecially when they lost !!..
marks are fucked alrightâŚdavis are in serious debtâŚtalk of them selling some of their pitchesâŚdon´t forget St. Annes in bohernabreenaâŚboden have hoovered up most their catchment areaâŚ

Marks are a fair bad intermediate hurling team now. I think they won a senior b title a few years backs. They had a fine team at the time anyway and a decent senior football team at the time too. Largely dual players.
I wouldnt consider St Annes a Tallaght team but they are close. Boden have such a massive pick - surely they are not dipping into Bohernabreens? Is Knocklyon, Firhouse and almost all Rathfarnham ( bar the few wanderers take) not enough for them!!??

Clubs in working class areas bar Ballymun have nearly all struggled.
Erinâs Isle provided the backbone of the Dublin team in the 1990s but havenât really been a force at all since then.
In the 80s and 90s the key players on the Dublin football team were mostly of solid working class background. Barr, Redmond, Deegan, Murphy, McNally, Heery, Clarke, Moran etc. As the city gentrified so did the make up of the team.
GGA is a middle class game, played by lads not tough enough for rugby
