Clare vs tipperary all ireland quarter final 2017. winners to play Cork

They are winning against dross …

This . +1

A lot of hate in that post. What gives ?

Another tease of a performance. Hinting we could win without ever being in a position to do it. Puckouts a clusterfuck for the third game running. I thought that was Donal Og’s specialty? The more thought they put into them the worse they get.

2 of his pts from play for at the start of each half. He was fucking useless, pal. Missed a heap of frees too.

His form for Clare this year is woeful.

Up your bollox.

Tipp are over the cloudy start they’ve had to this year’s Championship, their belief is back after today. They looked electric at times yet still showed vulnerability toward the end however at the finish they flashed a few over the bar at the most vital time. Put your money on Tipp.

I’m not denying that but he’s always liable to pop up with a moment of class.

As you say he has been poor all year, going back to the club final.

Some of the Clare lads sneering at the likes of James Ryan down through the years (since 2013 moreso). The cheek of the cunts when you’re looking at the likes of Cathal Malone there. And likes of Shane Golden on the panel, ffs sake.

Hardly dross, Clare nearly had them at the end.

I’m sticking the boot into the Clare cunts mate, I’m enjoying their demise good and proper.

The only problem is that the Tipp cunts won today but I’m banking on the Galway cunts bating those tin foil licking bastards

He’s an awful glory hunter. Will never make a top, top hurler. Had one good season and has been living off it since, like many of his teammates

I still can’t quite understand the skittish nature of the player positioning from us this year.
Shannahan (who had a fine game) was never really considered at half back until recently despite the fact there was a position open there all year. He got ample time at MF during the league and was consistently playing quality ball forward but lacked mobility to play there. Wing back just made sense, yet it took until today to do the logical thing.

Their handling of that is similar to a lot of other positions in that they seemed to make everything a little more complicated than it needed to be and outsmarted themselves.
I don’t doubt that they have learned a lot this year but it is evident that they tried to do too much too soon. No harm done though. Our touch was criminally poor though, no excuses for that.

The last three game have cleared up a lot of questions regarding who Davy’s system was catering to and who were being hung out to dry.

We are definitely in a better position now than at the same time last year, just a shame it took so long to get clarity as to where the real issues are.

Taking Rolls Royce off and replacing him with an under-21 who has played most of his inter-county hurling at wing-back when you’ve just got six points in a row and have your opponents on the ropes is one the most insane substitutions in sporting history.

What the fuck were Clare thinking of.

If Kelly wasn’t fit to run, you still leave him on.

A huge psychological moment for both teams which had an entirely predictable effect.

The Clare management deserve to be absolutely eviscerated over it. It’s the kind of thing that leads to a management team getting sacked.

Didn’t ye win a league last year and get to an all Ireland quarter final as well? Not sure where the progress is this year. Davy would have got ye further this year.

Calling @carryharry: need a car metaphor for something flashy but not consistent here
