Classic wastes of public money in the last few years?

The shite that people crib about in this country is ridiculous.
Had their business been suffering that they felt they needed a rebrand?
Hopefully this snazzy new logo will attract a lot more customers to their offices

Not having registry offices open at weekends, not having more offsite options for civil ceremonies and not being able to easily book in a civil servant online to perform the hanging.
My sources tell me there is up to a 2 year waiting list for an offsite ceremony on a Friday.

Not sure if its a waste of money but definitely a source of untapped revenue for the state

Saw that on twitter this morning- there’s no one in the city, who’s going to use this bridge? Go way and use your 18m to get business and parking sorted in the city centre… fucking mongs.

It’s baffling, linking two places that are barely used (which are already linked by a footbrigde).

This patently doesn’t fit with our city’s Parisian architecture.

Where do you even start with that?
There is a perfectly good bridge literally 50 yards away. I can never remember seeing anything more than a very handy number of people crossing there.
It might knock minutes off a route that no one ever takes.
That 18 million would be a lot better spent knocking Sarsfield house and doing something with the “Opera Centre” if they were trying to improve the area.

Or a load of other things. Like maybe putting some paving on O’Connell Street, from Thomas Street / Bedford Row Junction down to Arthurs Quay.

Coupled with the fact that both bridges look cat. You can literally see the footbridge from the potato market in the background, and it’s a much nicer bridge.

Typical resistance to change from the Limerick bumpkins on here
