Club Championships 2009
noticed a few things…the Fingallians team was almost entirely different to the team that lost well to counsel in April (few seniors out perhaps) and the referee (who is a swords local and far too young to ref an Intermediate champ match) was out of his depth. Counsel have a decent youth structure in place with a few good minors coming through (3 of which played a part last night)"

Counsel to take the reply by 4+ points!
that was a relegation playoff…fingallians would be entitled to play lads on the senior panel if they hadn’t played senior champo already this year…they just wouldn’t be eligible to play inter league once they played their quota of 4 senior league games…might explain the difference between inter league and inter champo teams…then again things happen differently out fingal way…:pint:

big time…they really got some return from that one team all the way up…they also recruited one or two from the outside…they got derek byrne from towers, great player (you probably might rememeber him from Laois minor win in '96…got 3 months for kicking Martin Delaney in the head in leinster final replay in Newbridge, superb strike!!)…they might take a scalp of one of the big 3 (crokes, plunketts and vincents) but don’t think they have enough yet to win it…

Confirmation that you are a complete fucking eejit.

Hey lads on the anonymous internet forum I know a former inter county footballer and I even know him by his nick name.

Are you the puke in disguise.

The jury came in on you a long time ago.

Hows the shredding going?

He’s got nothing apart from a touch of inbreeding.

I like Appendage, he really knows the score.

I really should start logging on more. I haven’t a clue what does be going on.

Will you get a run out?

I would hope so. I believe i should be starting but playing for a intermediate club doesn’t help and the manager is very biased towards his own club players. Sickens me.

How do you know so much about it? Its not a game thats greatly advertised!

i know 2 of the lads that play senior for fingalians- they are passionate enough about their hobby but athletes they are not - good counsel must be muck

What defines an athlete for you?
Does he have to be paid for his troubles?

if its a rural leisure activity then its a hobby. the gga players arent athletes far from it(ask the Irish sports council) they are enthusiasts that are passionate for their hobby.

its an intermediate relegation play off match…The fake crake is right on this occasion…fingallians senior team this year is the worst teami’ve ever seen in division 1…

Give an example of an amatuer athlete?

one of the guys i know switched from syls- luckily enough us urbanites are beyond parish rivalrys

probably just wanted to play with a few dubs again…

?

Results in Limerick football this weekend:

SFC Adare 1-10 Pallasgreen 1-8
SFC Dromcollogher-Broadford 3-9 Ballylanders 0-9
SFC Newcastlewest 2-12 St Kieran’s 0-5
IFC Galtee Gaels 1-7 Croom 1-4
IFC Oola 1-17 Mungret 2-6

In Group 1 Drom are now through to the Semi final.

in Group 2 St Kierans are now resigned to the relegation playoff and Adare have put themselves back into contention for the Quarter finals, and the result means Ballysteen are gauranteed at least a QF spot.

Nenagh beat Port in the North Tipp final, wonder is Mick Jones having a few to celebrate?
