AFAIK he never played for Dicksboro again. If I remember correctly UCD were playing a Leinster club game game the same day as Dicksboro were playing a relegation final in KK. He chose UCD, didn’t go down well with the club.
Any KK lads confirm?
can’t remember it fully myself but there was definitely bad blood…think he might have chosen to play for UCD in nowlan park against james stephens i think it was when UCD should have atleast got a draw as an umpire awarded a point that wasn’t
UCD in fairness used to take some abuse and never once would get a refereing decision in Dublin…saw some filthy strokes done on them but never remember anyone getting sent off against them…nobody wanted them there including the refs…
Its a total joke they are allowed (or were) play U-21, thats a fucking joke.
Mullach - Toome v. Killenaule is the big one there i suppose. Killenaule could really regret not putting Fanning on Kelly earlier in that South final yet.

If they are going to win a County Final, they are going to have to beat the likes of Toome anyway. They might as well do it on Saturday as the following week in the next round.
I’d be surprised if they did beat Toome, they are very weak outside of the 1st 15 and have a few on the starting 15 that are not up to that standard.

Ya they failed to beat the Glen Rovers in Cork a few weeks ago in a challenge, the Glen lost to Sars (i presume somewhere near same standard as Toome) by 20 points or something in championship.
This young fella Dwyer is the next big thing though, he is doing some ridiculous scoring.
Alot from frees kev, he is pretty reliable on them.
If he delivers on his potential he will be a star, although many’s a slip and all that…
True. But Eoin Kelly got most of his huge scores from frees as well, he got the goals from play though, that seems to be the way Dwyer is going as well.
Not saying he’s as good as Kelly though, i only saw Dwyer once.

Wouldn’t be a patch on Eoin Kelly at the same age, saw Kelly score 5-11 from 5-13 in Minor South-Final, Mullinahone drew the same game.
and St.Annes did draw UCD in the Leinster championship too as far as I can remember, and stayed faithful to the club rather than UCD, but UCD still won.
I was at that game in Gorey and was sickened that UCD pipped them despite being a UCD student at the time - Gizzy Lyng came on for UCD. Doc O’Connor would have been on the UCD team a couple of years later that lost that controversial game to James Stephens but I’m not sure if he was on their 2000 Dublin county winning team - he spent a year in Trinity because he did a miserable Leaving Cert apparently and didn’t get enough points for UCD. Dave Billings was able to pull a few strings and get him transferred across to UCD from second year onwards, I believe.
Any chance of a preview of the senior games Link? Made a good few quid last year betting on KK club hurling, not up there as often this year so not as in touch with whats happening.
Will ye beat Danesfort?
Any chance of the odds for KK chship? Im assuming Ballyhale are hot favourites. How are they looking so far this year anyone?
