Club Championships 2009
I would say the order of merit would be the following compared to the EPL:

Man Utd - Drom/Broadford
Chelsea - Ballylanders
Liverpool - Fr. Caseys
Arsenal - Monaleen

These four would be a nice bit ahead of the rest. Just below them then you’d have -

Tottenham - St. Senans
Everton - Pallasgrean

Then you’d have the also-rans:

Claughan - Blackburn
NCW - Bolton
Ballysteen - Hull City

That’s absolute rubbish. Monaleen have done nothing in Senior in the past 5/6 years. Senans, Caseys and Drom are streets ahead of them. That Ballylanders team are finished. Agree on Newcastle and Claughan. Ballysteen are the future.

I met a fella from Askeaton at mass last week and he told me football was dead in the town. He said they’d be playing Junior A within five years…

How can you take something like that seriously when you can’t even keep the order of the teams consistent?

Once again for the SLOW fella down the back, Askeaton don`t have a football team.

Move along please we’re trying to have an intelligent debate here…

if you’d said that about ballylanders i might have believed you.

He said all they want is their playstations…

Dunph shown up to be a blabbering idiot yet again

Ballysteen are by far and away the best football team in Limerick.

To claim otherwise is ludicrous.

Carrot Soup
This is a delicious Irish Soup commonly used in Ireland

2 pounds carrots, peeled and sliced
1 large onion, chopped
6 garlic cloves, chopped
5 whole cloves
4 cups of chicken stock or broth
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
salt & pepper
pinch of sugar
1/4 cup heavy (whipping ) cream
Minced fresh parsley or 6 whole sprigs for garnish

Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the carrots, onion, garlic, and cloves, and cook until the onion is translucent, 5-8 minutes
Add 3 1/2 cups of the stock or broth, cover, and simmer, stirring frequently
until the carrots are very soft, 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove the cloves from the stock/broth and discard.
Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor in batches and process until smooth.
Return to the same saucepan and stir in the lemon juice and sugar.
Season with salt & pepper and, if needed, thin with the remaining 1/2 cup stock or broth.
Serve in bowls with a drizzle of cream.
Sprinkle with minced parsley or place a sprig in the center of the cream.

Pallasgreen = Leeds united, circa early 70`s .

Na Piarsaigh beat Croom in Limerick SH Qf yesterday

Newsflash

There is NOT a double header in NCW next Saturday. Due to Pallasgreens shock victory there match with Abbeyfeale has been moved to Ballyagran, but the main game of the day featuring the heavy weights of Drom/Broadfrod and Ballysteen does go ahead as a stand alone fixture in ncw.

I hope it’s not too late for any of the TFK’ers to change their travel plans.

Casey`s by 4, Bally by 6, that is all.

Who are looking good for the intermediate titles on hurling/football in limerick?

I would say Dromin/Athlacca for the hurling. St. Pat’s for the football.
