Went to see the finals in Nowlan Park Yesterday,Freshford did what we werent capable of doing by steaming into the city fellas from the 1st whistle to very good effect, the Freshford backs were hitting everything that moved in the 1st half and it worked a treat as the Boro forwards went off and hid,it was a big shock for the favourites id say,id be no fan of Freshford but you’d have to admire there honest(mostly) endeavour in winning Yesterday.

In the junior final Blacks&Whites(Sqeughvosteen) were far too good for dissapointing John Lockes(Callan) on the day and would have won by much more but for a combination some poor finishing for goals and the Callan full back line being good rugby players,4 of Callans 6 backs were yellow carded during the game for making illegal last ditch tackles.

Young Irelands Gowran exited Senior hurling in Kilkenny after 17 Years at the grade, the heady days of DJ,Charlie,Pat O Niell and a host of decent other players winning championships is a distant memory now for the Gowran men who will probably face many Years in the lower grades, with 7 or 8 retirements imminant and not many ready replacements coming its going to be tough going at intermediate level, still they tasted a lot of success and nothing lasts forever, especially in small Country clubs.

Kev, would it be better for Castlemartyr if Fermoy or Clyda Rovers won the North Cork Final?

Clyda i’d say. They have been playing week after week, if ye get to the final against them they will have played 7 weeks in a row. They also prioritise football, so if it you got a run at them after half time in a final they may loose a little interest, they are kinda like Nemo, Erins Own or Blarney, they wouldn’t want to get promoted almost if they won, it could fuck up the big ball. Fermoy are very young and eager, i saw them footballing and they are all heart, youth and speed. They believe that its a joke that a town like Fermoy are Junior in hurling, so i’d say they’d be the more focused. i wouldn’t fear either of them though, Ballinhassig are handy, but not brilliant, they should be hammering them.

[quote=“The Dunph”]My source in Newmarket has expressed his “shock and disbelief” at losing to Clonlara. He did go on to say that nothing fell right for them on the day and that the referee was an “abomination”.

The referee gave them everything and more. Fat useless cunt.

What else would you expect from a killaloe cunt…

James Woodlock the Tipp midfielder broke his leg in the senior final yesterday. Apparently he was waiting at the stadium until after 7 for an ambulance to arrive. That is disgraceful, surely there should have been an ambulance on stand-by for the match?

There was a heap of giving out in Limerick when Thomas Cahill had to wait 20 mins for an ambulance when he broke his leg in the abandoned county final, but that was only because the ambulance that was on standby had already left to take a spectator to hospital.

Might have being trying to walk it off. Being in Tipp he was lucky they didn’t shoot him.

is that a joke?? i really hope so- our hard pressed ambulance services should be directed towards club stick hurling games on the off chance some muldoon takes his hobby too far & hurts himself- get real- if the clown breaks his leg then the ambulance should prioritise him along with anyone else that day - fair enough if it was a professional athlete but no way should their be one for someone as lowly as a bogman hobbyist

Shameful stuff there from the Tipp Co Board if that is in fact correct.

Why would you doubt me?

It is a disgrace though that the lad had to wait that long for an ambulance in all fairness.

Thomas Cahill is a lucky lad by all accounts.

I see no reason to doubt you runty, my apologies if it came across that way. Tipp fucking animals.

That’s more like it. Fuck tipp.

the tipp county board dont run the ambulance services - im sure the ambulance priortised in the situation

You don’t have a clue what you are on about here. Most big sporting events (even LOI games) have an ambulance on standby during the game. This service isn’t provided by the HSE but by groups like St Johns Ambulance or the Order of Malta and they are paid for their services by the organisation running the event.

this wasnt a big event or a sporting event:rolleyes:

huh?

Flesh that out a bit for me
