Live on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

Carrickshock up by a point at HT. 0-12 0-11

I’d like to extend my best wishes to new Laois maanger and Carrickshock manager, Brendan Fennelly.

Camross beat The Harps in Laois SHC semi final with last minute point. Serious high jink in O Moore Park yesterday after the IHC semi final, good ol Clonaslee living down to their reputations. I’ll be shocked if this one doesnt go national.

So Kilmacud weren’t beaten either? WTF was NCC on about?

Anyway in Cork;

Ballincollig beat Castlehaven handy enough, was at it and it wasn’t a bad game. The celebrations of the Cork players are being felt all over though i believe. The 3 players involved last weekend in this game were all struggling visably, with only Paddy Kelly having any massive affect. Miskella didn’t want to be there, and eventually dislocated his elbow going in lazy in a tackle. Amazingly unpopular with his own club members it seems. A strange one, always got the impression he was a good club man.

In the hurling the Glen surprised Midleton, which is terrible for Cork hurling, and Sars beat Erins Own, which pretty much means nothing for the IC team as both teams have been squeezed of any talent already. That sees Sars awaiting either The Glen, Douglas or CIT in the final. For curiosity i’d like to see CIT or Douglas make it, but most likely its the Glen that will`get through.

Bantry beat Nemo in Premier Intermediate football, while Carrigaline and Newcestown drew.

Meelin and Mayfield meet next week in one Junior Hurling semi final, Castlemartyr and Clough Duv meet in the other. Clough Duv won a boring Mid-Cork final today, where they timbered Tom Kenny from what i’m hearing.

Rathdowney Errill will meet Camross in the Laois SHC final after knocking out holders Clough Ballacolla today 2-17 to 1-11. It was in reality far easier than that scoreline suggests, CB rallied at the death. Hard to see Camross beating them to be honest, but what it does throw up is the opportunity of Camross winning the SHC and IHC and Portlaoise winning the SFC and IFC. Might be worth getting odds on that.

That scoreline suggests easiness to me.

Yes and it was even easier than even that scoreline suggests.

FFS.

Carrickshock beat James Stephens 1-20 to 1-15 in the KK quarter-final today.

I believe Parnells are in the relegation play off in Dublin, anyone care to confirm? If so,

Good win for the shock alright, the village goal came late on, put a better look on it. Richie Power gave an exhibition. He was outstanding. Fennelly is a great trainer, always has been. He will do good work with Laois.
O’Loughlins beat St Martins in the other quarter today. The four semi finalists are

Ballyhale Shamrocks
O’Loughlin Gaels
Carrickshock
Erins Own, Castlecomer

Semis to be drawn tomorrow night.

Expect the Link to be down in the dumps for a couple of days as the Rower Inistiogue were beaten by Mullinavat today in the intermediate quarter final.

Portumna and Loughrea are meeting in the Galway semi-final. I think I might head along to that one :pint:

Yes but they only have a 1 in 7 chance of being relegated. It won’t happen.

Cloughduv/Castlemartyr 6 p.m. next Sunday in the Flower Lodge, for Kev and Locke.

Fucking hell

Yeah the brother is fairly gutted. Carrickshock more than deserved their win.
They really took control in the second half and village had no answer.

I hope they go on and win it out now.

regardless, this wasn’t on the cards for the shower of poaching dublin cunts

Incredible scenes yesterday in the West Junior A final.
Askeaton lead by a point with a minute to go, a sideline is take by Kierans which goes cross field to a kierans man all alone steaming through on goals, he promptly picks the ball and lashes it to the net for a goal. The problem?

The player was a sub who had ran on from the sideline, without anyone going off, meaning that Kierans had an extra man on the field and that extra man got the goal. After lenghty debate between the referee and the linesmen and umpires, the ref allowed the goal to stand then blew the final whistle.

There was nearly war. The ref? Jason O’Mahony.

what did askeaton do Runt? They surely went mental?
