They should be playing with their clubs this weekend (although the fixture is dumb) and playing u21 following week. This has happened before in Cork and i believe they won the All Ireland.

I’d tend to agree it’s a joke, moreso having knockout championship in April but most of the lads who will play in European rugby semi finals this weekend also played last week. What’s the issue with these young lads playing 10 days before another game? Risk of injury or what? Cannot be a fatigue issue surely ta fuck in april

I agree. One of the big problems with the fixture issues in club GAA is this idea that players can’t play club games the week before county games. Ridiculous shit

It’s a little tradition of mine to laugh at things like this in the GAA. A football World Cup is run off in 3 weeks and the winner will play 7 odd games in that time. Underage GAA team managers meanwhile look for weeks to be set aside before their games. It’s laughable - hence I’ll use the “laughing” smiley.
