Kilmaley will be hard bet. Plenty of lads with county experience
I believe they are quite old. Kanturk are extremely fit. They could do with a week off though.

But do Kilmaley have 4 serious man markers they can afford to sacrifice. Cos Kanturk have 3 Walshes and McLoughlin going extremely well. McLoughlin is unmarkable at this level.
Younger Walsh is a starr, 6’2/3 and a better runner than Aidan.
Clare Senior Championship is handy but its a small county. Hard to see Kilmaley being at that level. Kanturk are probably the 4th best hurling team in cork at any level.
Kilmaley are a good senior side and they never should have been relegated. They were in a senior county semi final replay in 2015 with a young team and weren’t prepared for the relegation scrap last year. They fairly walked the inter championship.
They are a far better side than Ballyduff.
I would say that the vast majority of their starting team in 25 or under. 12 or 13 of their starters

They have been very strong at underage over the last decade. Aside from Ken Kennedy it is a young team with the likes of Alan Markham on the bench. The rest of the side that won and competed for county titles in the 00s are gone.
The likes of Daire Keane, Eoin Enright, Mike O’Malley, the McGuane’s, Kennedy and a couple of others would have been stand out hurlers for Clare underage teams in recent years. Add to that Conor Cleary at centre back as well. They are a decent outfit and would be better than most Clare senior teams.
I believe they are prone to doing some silly things though. They played Cleary at centre forward against Murroe and it backfired badly.

Intermediate in Clare is solid with some decent outfits. They absolutely walked it. A dogged Tubber team got within 7 points in of them in the final I think. That was their closest game. Won all the others at a canter.
Made v hard work of it after being 8 nil up 15 mins in. The two week break badly needed
