Boden were playing with a gale. Go in three up at half time.
Nenagh on the way to another final loss.
Unrale finish in the nell. Boden goal to go two up on 30 mins, two quick points to level then crokes have a free at the death, mis hit, clearly comes off the goalie from where i am but whistled as a wide. Extra time.
Coalisland romping home in the end. Tiernan Quinn coming off the bench and hitting two cracking scores to put them on their way.
Mark Bradley was well bottled up and Killyclogher didn’t have much else in attack.
Coalisland will give Cross a good rattle in Ulster.
Draw match. Mental breakdown by paul ryan carrying it in and going for a goal at the end when a point would have won it.
Boden throw it away at the end. Paul Ryan had a chance for a point and went for a goal with the scores level. Draw.
Brainless.
Exciting game in Parnell in though quality was average. Ryan o Dwyer very good for crokes. Durkin and Paul Ryan good for Boden but a complete brainfart by Ryan in the last play of the game cost Boden the title. I’d fancy crokes for the replay. More room for improvement there.
Standard in the game was as bad as iv seen in club football. Two bad sides
What did your discerning eye think of the standard of stick hurling there today?
Disappointed with the standard actually, i hadnt seen a dublin club match in years and with cualas exploits i expected it to be a bit better. Very scrappy, lots of rucks and stuggles on the ground, first touch was bad both sides. The shooting was in the main poor, ballyboden should have been well ahead at half time, but they seem to run out of energy early. McCormack looked three stone overweight and butchered a few great chances. Keaney still their best player, a great man to come out of a 50/50 ball with it but his age showed.
For crokes macgabhann and o dwyer did well they had their shooting woes when on top. Corcoran was a big loss when injured. The wind was a huge influence.
It was exciting though, both teams tried to use the ball well at times. Crokes put great ball into space in front of forwards. But often got little return. Boden more hit and hope. Gary Maguires puck outs were outstanding. Did you go into it?

It appears a member of the backroom team hit number 10 a box…
Well if he did, he did it right in front of the ref.
Those lads seem very interested in getting each others tops off.
Shirtlifters.
God no, I hate both of those teams, but I hate Crokes significantly more.
They seem to dislike each other a fair bit too. Its gas to hear the polished south dublin accent come out with ‘ah come on ref, keep up with the play’ while seconds later a muldoon blow in club mate of the same man roars in an uncouth midlands accent ‘he was dragged the fuck down you stupid cunt’
Theres a certain smug satisfaction in crokes fans though, they know their property value is worth a lot more than bodens is. and boden know it too.
Indeed, Crokes people are insufferable, chattering class arseholes, but 'Boden would have an element of that too. A guy in work lives in Firhouse, big 'Boden guy, but lives too close to St Anne’s for comfort, going out of his way the fucker is IMO.
Crokes is a broad church.
The double double would be a real boost to the GAA in its heartland.
I’m happy to straddle all elements of the GAA - taking stick for Killmor minor B team losing to Crokes upwardly mobile fan base.
