In the past there was a situation where a Ballinderry clubman stood aside when he was due to manage Errigal Ciaran v Ballinderry in the Ulster Club.

Stack played for his HOME club and i don’t believe he had anything to do with toome on the day of the game itself.

The Clontibret man who is impressing me the most lately is Conor Boyle at full-back. I think he’s too small to play there at county level but maybe at wing-half-back for the county. If Clontibret get ahead of you early then you’re in trouble.

Gunners well on top, physically dominating things which is a surprise. Both teams setting up with an extra man at the back but the Ballygunner backs winning their individual battles in any case. Syl was calling it a strong breeze on the radio but tis mild enough here.

Dessie Hutchinson got the goal after Barry Coughlan had soloed up the field and had his shot saved. Bit of a scuffle up the field after the goal went in where the Bridge should have had a red from what I saw, Mahony given a yellow in the end. Hutchinson, Hogan and Timmy O’Sullivan all roasting their men. Philip Mahony hurling a load of ball at his ease. Jamie Shanahan and Alex Morey the only Bridge lads winning their own ball.
