Club Championships 2019

Are you drunk again?

You might be thinking of Carlow poster @Fitzy, who’s forever logging on here drunk.

I’m a teetotaller.

You’re a gobshite.

That was an astonishing outburst. I’m quite taken aback.

Bizarre you’d imagine an Englishman would take an historic win with good grace and humility

It’ll most likely feel like a pyrrhic victory in a fortnights time after an hour with Ballyhale. Mount Leinster Rangers got some stroke of luck in 2013 with only serial Leinster final losers Oulart to face in that Leinster final.

Rathdowney/Errill have probably dodged a bullet.

It was truly GUBU. I hope drink was involved.

That’s sport for you. Look how animated a lot of the Eire soccer types here get over the fortunes of soccer franchises from shitholes like Manchester and Liverpool in the North West of England.

You wouldn’t see it from a Tipp or Galway supporter

@ChairmanDan needs to get out more to channel all that rage and pent up anger. Maybe watch a bit less GAA as well at the weekend.

Great to see that passion for sport…well done Dan

Sure you’re a Preston North End man yourself and you cheering for Spurs, following the glamour of it all

Thanks @gilgamboa. For an ould lad like me, a long time retired, its great to see the young lads of today produce a result and a ground breaking achievement like the Saints did today.

Gobshite is a good description

Really takes a bit of the gloss off a wonderful day for Carlow hurling you’d say

Gas cunts

I see Toureen of Mayo had a great win over @KinvarasPassion and his crew today in the Connaught intermediate championship.

They used to play in the senior club championship when there was one in Connaught but they got hammered every year by the Galway champions. Except one year when they were only beaten by a goal. It had rained for days beforehand and the game was played on a mud bath. When interviewed after the game their captain who was one of many Henry brothers on the team made a famous comment. “If there was another inch of rain we would have beat them”.

Why are you talking about soccer again?

The Leinster Club Championship, the Riverdance of Hurling Club Championships.

No sign of one of St Mullins most famous supporters Michael Flatley on the terraces in Netwatch Dr Cullen Park today. That’s not to say he wasn’t in attendance. I believe James Doyle the match winner today is a cousin of the Lord of the Dance. He really showed dancing feet the way he waltzed through the Rathdowney/Errill defence for the last two scores.
