I have a couple of friends who hurl back in Mayo and soldered fro a few years for the county side at the start of the decadeā¦ When Mayo won the Rackard Cup back in 2016 there were only five hurling clubs in the county. It was some achievement given that they had probably 100 adult hurlers in the county at best and also pretty sad that a county the size of Mayo only had five hurling clubs.
Always been a few tidy hurlers in mayo.
