You can always repeat the leaving cert

Ballygunner lacked a bit of cutenessā€¦ Over played the ball completelyā€¦ Especially considering the conditionsā€¦

Why donā€™t they play the hurling semis in 2 weeks?

I think thatā€™s the eventual plan but the GAA hierarchy like to change at a glacial pace. Somebody thought the lads would be better off not having a proper Christmas and play the latter stages in January

Really thought Ballygunner were overrated heading into this. They didnā€™t impress that much against the Well when should have been game over by halftime. Patrickswell even had plenty chances to put it up to them.

Had a sneaky feeling today would run close. Didnā€™t see them winning but thought wouldnā€™t be far off. Great to see attitude and application matched talent as too often Tipp club teams phone it in.

Club hurling great to watch, has it all in spades

Fuck Tipp.

I think borrisileigh will take st. Thomasā€™s in the semi. There work rate yesterday was outstanding, the number one factor in the winter hurling. But Ballyhales forwards will have too much for them in the final.

Isnā€™t there something very special about Brian Tyres saying a team is in ā€˜an De Deiridhā€™ in the dying moments of a club championship clash?

He said it yesterday as Hutchinson played the last sideline back to Oā€™Keefe. Said it again as Na Piarsaigh launched one last attack against Cuala in the 2018 club final replay.

It really adds to the occasion.

The Tipp intercounty side garnered a reputation for a long time for having a soft underbelly and not having that intensity to their game. Obviously the club game had been dominated by Sarsfields for a long time but most Tipp clubs at that grade you could not level at them accusations of being too soft. Most Tipp teams would fancy their chances against Borrisoleigh next year. Many club teams who have intercounty players dont get the same level of output from them as they see them deliver in Croke Park etc but with Borrisoleigh their intercounty players step up again. The goal yesterday for Ballygunner was against the run of play and should have given them the impetus to kick on but for Borrisoleigh its like it didnā€™t happen. A minor setback to be overcome. They will give Thomasā€™s enough of it the next day too.
