Provided there is work to keep them local.
Blewitt is probably the most appropriate mayo surname ever
There must be some savage money behind them. A former intercounty manager as a selector.
Between activation, movement coaching, injury prevention, S&C, psychology, nutrition and analysis, youād wonder will they get any chance to kick a ball?
No ākick the fucking ball over the barā coach.
Have you seen their setup over there? Its almost like they have someone involved who knows how to do a bit of fundraising.
We had a call with a lady from Hollymount Carrowmore GAA club to discuss a fundraiser they ran last year.
They made 250 thousand out of it. For a fairly small club in a rural area I was gobsmacked.
Basically a whole committee set up separate from the main club committee set up to oversee and run the thing. About 8 or 9 months or work. Something like 200 people involved altogether between performers on the night and fundraising.
And these cunts in the Whesht play the poor mouth.
Tis like Rosenallis. Half a million they pulled from that tractor draw. Did everything absolutely perfectly. Even brought in a second treasurer and committee to run it. Did everything right. Until the draw.
Anyway, the notoriety goes, the 500K remains.
Iād say Laurita is a good woman to gather up money.
Joe Brolly must have serious time management skills.
He doesnāt sleep which helps.
Think he does all his Legal work between 11pm and 6am.
Iām sure Joe has previously spoken out in favour of massive backroom teams with makey up titles
Think that was Woolie?
TBF, I very much doubt Joe is taking a penny there, which was mostly his big bugbear. The others, I couldnt vouch for, but its possible one or two of the lads with the makey up titles could be students trying to get a start here or there.
But the fucking titlesā¦
Theyād want to be making it into @peddlerscross top 20 in the power rankings come late July or it will be all for nought. The Mayo clubs have struggled outside of the county for the last few seasons too.
What harm but Connacht is there to be won.
I had high hopes for Moycullen (cc @Diabhal) and Mountbellya to kick on in Galway but a less than vintage crop from Corofin have regained their tight fist there.
I expect Brigids to be back this year alright and would have them as favourites.
This is as about as BOX OFFICE a Club appointment as you can get though.
Westport were supposed to dominate in mayo but they havenāt pushed on.
Iād have Brigids as the best team in Connacht pound for pound.
Knockmore tend to be very competitive strong team but they donāt score enough to go far at the real top level, Aidan Orme not pushing on hasnāt helped.
Knockmore lack the star power the likes of Castlebar or even Ballintubber used to have. Colm Reape will be a great asset for them with the new rules but McLoughlin is auld now and as you say they donāt really have any marquee forwards. *A functional but effective outfit. On paper Westport should be better but seem to have a few mavericks like Fionn McDonagh and FOTF Mark Moran.
*Like any expert on here I have seen very little of Knockmore in action.
Mayo is there to be won with the new rules. Itās one of the more turgid championships in Ireland.
The weather is generally pretty shite out there doesnāt help playing expansive ball.
similar to Donegal in that way.
I presume the whole forum will be behind Breaffy to finally get over the line. Breaffy in Mayo and Boyle in Roscommon with the Smithās prime just about overlapping with a young Cian McKeon. Donie actually replaced McKeon at the weekend.
Thatās what club action analysis is all about. Throwing out an opinion with very little to back it up
