It’s all about savings nothing else
how much is the carbon tax on a bag of coal?
are you saying you understand the affordability bit but think paying a little less is better than poisoning kids?
If it’s a wood burning stove you’d destroy it if you put coal in.
It’s approx €7
I am saying I understand the attraction of people shopping cross border when a home owner is saving in the region of €175 a tonne on their fuel for the winter.
I am also saying that in their efforts to improve air quality the Green Party have actually made matters worse because their legislation is flawed. They didn’t factor in the North in their quest to stop poisoning kids.
As the country gears up to climate targets there will still be a need and demand for solid fuels. Banning the sale of it will not make the use of it go away while a person can sit in their living room and order it from across the border. Outlawing the sale of smokey coal, is useless while not having the means to enforce the restrictions on its transportation into the country or even its use in homes.
do you think its right to burn smoky coal?
That’s a moot point considering I am telling you the law of the land says it is banned.
I think it is wrong that it is still being burned in this jurisdiction and that those in power that legislated for its ban allows it.
