It’s a grand machine I’d say, I’ve been through a few and I find delonghi to be excellent midprice machines, I have one at the moment but I have a separate bean grinder, a burr grinder crushes rather than cuts the beans, does a fine job, this is my set up
Make sure to buy good beans, makes all the difference

Advice on a decent bean please. Recently bought a coffee maker but finding it hard to get a strong tasting coffee. This is the latest we’ve tried. Supposed to be a strong coffee but it’s a bit bland.

Has anybody tried grinding their own coffee beans and putting the grinds into a reusable Nespresso pod? Available in some coffee shop in Dublin near Tara Street apparently.

If you like it ‘strong’ I’d recommend Ethiopian or Rwandan coffee for you, they seem to have a pungency that’s different from all others, don’t ask me why
