Coldplay -Fran's faves
Just after hearing a bloke in work here blowing his load about their gig last night in Phoenix Park.

Something wrong about that.
They didnt play the pheonix park farmer, it was the o2. I only like one song off the new album and thats strawberry swing. viva la vida is way too overplayed, cant stand the song. Liked violet hill at first but it was played too much so I hate em both now. My favourite song they did was in my place, the rest I couldnt be bothered listenin to.

I despise the fucks. Dire, whiney dirge. I agree the first album had potential before Martin started churning out wallowing introspective gash ad nauseum. They as good as pissed on top of Kraftwerk’s Computer Love aswell, now there are accusations of them actually ripping off stuff without permission. Yer man calling his kid apple aswell, what the fcuk? He’d have been better off calling her Aston.

Coldplay are dull. Not saying they don’t have an odd decent song, but christ they’re dull.

First-time house buying couples’ music (didn’t make that one up).

Accountants’ music is more accurate.

Middle of the road dross is what they are.

Utterly boring wank.

Yep, I’m finding myself agreeing with people who I never though I’d find common ground with.

I am the higher ground.

Bedwetter music according to Alan McGee.

I’m possibly a little out of touch with modern music but just saw an ad for a Coldplay album and saw they have a song called Every teardrop is a waterfall. That may well be the worst song title ever if it’s not deliberately ironic. Lyrics are awful from a quick google* - haven’t had the bravery to actually listen to it yet.

  • All the kids they dance
    All the kids all night
    Until Monday morning
    Feels another life…

A chap from work texted me to say himself and his Mrs were at the gig in Croker last night . He said it was " brilliant".

Was any one at it ??

Coldplay have reinvented themselves and are now brilliant again.

Huzzah.

Even if they were, they wouldn’t admit it.

The whole thing is like Munster rugby .

It was a very good concert I have to say.

I take it your life partner is a Coldplay fan?
