I work with a Polish lady who was a keyboardist in a death metal band in Iceland for 3 years - she learned English in Iceland so has a lovely Icelandic lilt when she speaks and has a lovely way of describing Coldpaly - Fucking pussies.

As I said above, Twas grand but not anything special. Coldplay have plenty of anthems to sing along to & more than their share of hits. But, would I have payed for that ticket and gone to Dublin to see them otherwise? Fuck no.

Each to their own music-wise but, I find Coldplay so tedious. It’s like the musical equivalent of sitting in a waiting room.
And I can’t bring myself to like Chris Martin. Probably says more about me than him but I find his positivity unbearable. I just can’t go a lad who feels happy enough to literally skip across the stage.

I still think Parachutes is a good album - not a master piece by any stretch but a decent showing. It reminds me of a time and place so there is a little emotional bias in there… However, Yellow is pure fucking muck… actually as I type and think of it, there’s probably only about 4 songs on it that I really like -
In short, Coldplay are the @Horsebox of the music world, pure harmless, bland and inoffensive.
